Wayne’s been famous and in the public eye since he was like 15-16 years old, referencing his age and date of birth all throughout songs for well over a decade…he has old year book pics, videos of him performing in plays as a 6th grader, etc. all over the net…his old elementary teachers have been interviewed in various nationally published newspapers and magazines…and has been arrested 3 or 4 times over the past couple of years…basically, it’d be impossible for him to lie about his age at this point, just because there’d be no shortage of people to call him out on it…but to the contrary, everybody confirms it…the whole “he’s really older thing” stems from the time he was locked up in ATL like 5 years ago and they caught him with a fake ID that said he was 3 years older than he was…lost in the internet’s cliche need to perpetuate articifically created “scandals” and rumors, was a little bit of common sense…a fake ID would come in handy for an underaged teenage rapper (or underaged person in general) wishing to enter clubs, bars, etc. whereas they legally aren’t supposed to be…logic holds that that makes just a little more sense than Dewayne Carter Jr. lying about his age as early 5th grade, somehow anticipating that he might need to lie about it for whatever reason decades later

Dude is 27…back in the hotboys days i remember him mentioning his age and i thought to myself damn…kid is the same age as me. And that was like 10-11 years ago. Who would keep a lie for that long? Plus only women lie about their age.
