best beats on BP2 > preface best beats
i can say that too
preface his an underground true hh album
wit a cohesion and lyricism
BP2 was a collection of songs
no schema. just some hits and tracks
Poppin’ tags and some others are just sickness, don’t forget too fastly
——————————————–
but it’s not the same type of ish so
why u try to compare
black milk did great beats
but not great crossover beats
he did more classic beats (underground hiphop)
no shots. it is what it is. i like his work for sure. he’s dope!

Not true. Kanye’s shit is very soulful. Some of Just Blaze’s shit too. Black Milk makes hot shit but his beats lack commercial appeal. You can have both, a beat that’s just as soulful or just as threatening as you want plus have commercial appeal.
September 26th, 2009 at 6:10 pm
Black Milk, DJ Khalil, Don Cannon, DJ Toomp, Justice League
top five “new generation” producers fiyahh!
some beats are just crazy never the less
no comparison but next generation was
Kanye, Blaze, Bink!, Pharrell and Swizz
in term of dopeness and talent,
hiphop ain’t dead thus

smh @ “ob4cl2>preface”
stannery is going too far.
first off, put raekwon and elzhi side by side lyrically. you cant tell me rae is better and still be considered sane.
secondly, preface is comprised of black milk production made for the preface. ob4cl2 has some new beats but also relies on alot of overused Dilla beats. no matter how well a rapper flows over it, a dated, over-used beat takes away from the overall composition.
thirdly, any ep/lp/album/mixtape that has no skip-worthy tracks has one of the criteria for a classic. Everyone on Nah has been in agreement that ob4cl2 has a handful of trash tracks to skip around.imo preface has none.
lastly, sequels take a back seat to originals. ob4cl1>preface would make a more convincing arguement.
In conclusion, gtfohwtbs.
Good day

nothing trash on the album. but the recycled tracks defintely flaw the album. he should have kept all the production original the same way the 1st one was or as much as possible. There are some original production on that Chef’s Apron mixtape that would have knocked hard on the album.
Also, Nah is not the only place people should be seeking opinion. Too many bias cats on here and a whole heep of stanning. Check whats going on other websites. Most are saying that ob4cl2 is that nice.

Drake Has New Single ‘Shut It Down’ Feat. The-Dream
Add CommentSeptember 26, 2009 04:50:22 GMT
The song is said to be about ‘empowering females …… When they go out and they get dressed up and put their make-up on and get their hair done, they have the capacity to shut the club down.’
© Robin Wong/PR Photos
Drake won’t release his full-length debut album “Thank Me Later” until next year, but he has had a new song selected as the set’s first single. Titled “Shut It Down”, the track which has The-Dream lending his vocal, is slated to come out in the coming weeks.
Omen, one of the album’s producers, tells Billboard.com “We’re filming a video for it soon helmed by Hype Williams. The track will be serviced just a few weeks after.” As for The-Dream, he is said to have a verse and appear on the last two choruses and on the bridge.
Describing “Shut It Down” as a “Prince-like, powerful song,” Omen explains it is actually about “empowering females.” He goes on recalling, “Drake said he had a song idea called ‘Shut It Down’ aimed at club-going females. When they go out and they get dressed up and put their make-up on and get their hair done, they have the capacity to shut the club down.”
“I was working on some drum patterns and 40 had the melody going. 40 is very skilled and has a crazy ear for obscure sounds and chords,” says Omen when referring to Drake’s longtime musical collaborator, 40. “It took us the whole night to come up with the track, but we finished it and played it for Drake the next day, who already had the song’s concept.”
In related news, “Thank Me Later” reportedly is scheduled for a February 2010 release.
