alot of shit resembles some form of Hip hop
^
True, but “influenced by hiphop” is not the same as being hiphop. Love Below, 808s, and the Dreams latest are not hip hop albums. I mean, you really have to draw the line somewhere and regain some perspective.
**Throw Gnarls Barkley, and that godawful Diddy “Angels” (LMAO) blicka in there, too….

^^
How do you know where to draw the line tho…..almost all rap music of today is “influenced” by the “original” form of hiphop…its not like these niggas was around when it started…they just took it and adpted it like everyone else
Rey, you can’t honestly believe that the majority of us that don’t like Cudis album feel that way because he’s not talking about crack and guns. Respect my mind nigga, lol.
It’s overblown Broadway hooks that don’t mesh with the verses, the unimaginative repetition of content, and it’s dreary production that lacks any energy or dynamism are the reasons I don’t like it.
***it’s like a long ass version of that one song Diddy did from the “Godzilla” track, where he’s falling from the sky and singing….you know the track, right?- the one with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page…
I also clearly pointed out that it doesnt have to be hard core, so I dont get the OB4C2 reference… I havnt even spoke my opinion on this album on Nah.
——————-
judging by your previous comments i figured you messed with Raekwon, hence the ob4cl2 example i threw out there

No shots but my answer to that would common sense. I mean, by your logic, Britneys Spears Blackout and the last Timberlake album could be considered hip hop.
But for the sake of argument, here’s a “rule” for hiphop:
1. The vast majority (85-90%) of verses by artist must be rapped, not sung.
@ Icon– Bite your tongue (nh), “Come With Me” (also nh) was awesome. Mo’ Fugga.

Hmm… Opinion is cool, I just disagree.. I liked the production on it, I thought it was very dynamic.. Some of it was a bit sluggish, but I enjoyed the overall story arc of it..
If it’s not a hip-hop album, what genre would you put it in? (nhx3)
