   LOL… if i was 87, that would make me in my 60’s in the 80’s … why would i be watching teen idols in my 60’s?…

   i was between 5 and 15 during the 80s… and my parents (both of African descent) surely didnt take us to see jewish teen idols for recreation … we grew up on Earth Wind & Fire, The Jackson 5/Jacksons, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Blaxploitation flicks and reggae/roots/calypso culture (Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, Peter Tosh, Harry Belafonte, Lord Melody, etc.)… my parents were extremely afrocentric and shielded us from too much european influences … i had to sneak to see a Molly Ringwald flick … (c) Breakfast Club …
