Anybody nominated besides Taylor Swift could have won and Kanye would have kept his mouth shut. His timing was extremely poor, but his comments were true. All the other nominees were bonafide real women (even Gaga’s weird ass). Taylor Swift is a little girl. I mean, as a fan of music in general, I wouldn’t have been mad at Gaga, or Katy Perry, or even Pink winning. (maybe my opinion is skewed by the “smashability” of the nominee, though)

I have the crazy feeling this was staged.

Kanye is crazy enough to agree to go through with a fake drama just to be talked about. Like other people on here have said, other than lady Gaga’s slightly disturbing performance (down to the blood in her eye…yuck), there was nothing to talk about during that show other than Ye’s “outburst”. Swift looked shock, but I would think anyone getting their first VMA would wrestle for that microphone if they were mid-acceptance speech. It’s just human instinct to try to keep a mic in your hand that someone’s trying to take away from you mid-speech, she damn near handed it to him. Bizarre.
