2009 seems 2 b the yr that resurrect lyricism (not biting either) in rap, thus transforming it fron rap back into hiphop. An album with substance like obfcl2. Deserves a buy

Words cannot describe how I feel knowing this is coming out.
The concept of the album and its meaningfulness seems to be beyond words.
Nas and K’naan with a produced track, that’s dope.
Damian and Stephen Marley on production, can’t wait to feel the music.
Snoop on a bonus cut called Weed On!!
You already know it’s an anthem.
Keep on.
Peace

Also for the slow niggas in here, a producer doesn’t neccessairly mean grabbing a drum machine and punching in the beats. It could be arrangments or organizing a band and the direction of the track, which judging from the behind the scenes clip that was out in June, maybe he did.

Salaam Remix > Salaam Remi
Considering Nas’ habit of choosing inesxcusably wack beats him behind the decks is bound to be even worse than the worst cuts on ‘Nastradamus’.

NAS goes in on these tracks like he did on untitled. nas’ delivery is 2nd 2 no 1, dead or alive.

nas is one of the greats its only right for him to work with bob marly’s son because bob marley is one of the greats nas is poetic lyricist and song wirtter he can do it all i dont see other rappers that do it like nas the closest one to do it like nas is rakim and krs one but nas’s knowledge of the world surpasses rakim because rakim can only relate to people in the hood and america but nas topics and albums cover his world knowledge jayz raps about money so does 50 the only guy to do it like nas is pac and he died so i give nas as the greatest rapper to be alive today he made classics like illmatic stillmatic all great albums he is smart and creative

@M.O.M:
I agree. I could do without Snoop on the album. I will buy the retail version instead of the iTunes version so that I will not get that track.

my expectations for this album are almost too high. The inclusion of K’naan after his last album and every other contributor = heavy
