Drake - Fear (Full)
Here’s the full version of the new song that you can find on the So Far Gone EP that will be available September 15th.
“I stay away from niggas that could land me in some trouble/and I’ma keep it honest, I’m so tired of being subtle/it’s just me, 40, O and Neeks standing in a huddle”
Bonus: Drake - Fear (Instrumental, produced by DJ Khalil)
Do not rap over this beat, because nobody cares. It’s simply for the listeners. I played it maybe 100 times yesterday.

*Max B laugh*
How is it hate? I’ve said this repeatedly, it’s a good album. I’m not even mad at the eclectic production or the abundance of features or the couple of times Jay tries to flip a different flow & it misses.
Where is the depth? The “Song Cry’s” or the “You Must Love Me’s”, the “Anything’s”, the “Soon You’ll Understand’s”. “Hard Knock Life” was a song that went pop, but the message in it was ill. All but one of Hov’s albums have had some sort of binding theme, BP2, but that album suffered from being a bloated 2 disc set not for lack of quality Jay-Z songs. What message is Jay sending with this collection of songs? You listen to BP3 front to back and when you’re sitting there after the album is done, what do you feel?

so probably a coldplay inspirational touch or whatever but not straight hiphop like blueprint/blackalbum
if jayz wanted the critical acclaim or at least a great acclaim, there was the tracklist for sure:
# Title Producer Length
1. “What We Talkin’ About” (feat. Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun) Kanye West, No I.D. 4:04
2. “Thank You” Kanye West, No I.D. 4:11
SWAGGER LIKE US Part I and Part II but probably the part 2 only !!!!!
3. “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” No I.D. 4:15
4. “Run This Town” (ft. BEYONCE and Kanye) West, No I.D. 4:28
5. “Empire State of Mind” (feat. Alicia Keys & NAS) Al Shux 4:37
6. “Real as It Gets” (feat. Young Jeezy) The Inkredibles 4:13
7. “BROOKLYN WE GO HARD
9. “A Star Is Born” (feat. J. Cole) Kanye West, No I.D. 3:48
10. “Venus vs. Mars” Timbaland 3:11
11. “Already Home” (feat. Kid Cudi) Kanye West 4:30
12. “HISTORY”
14. “So Ambitious” (feat. Pharrell) The Neptunes 4:12
15. “Young Forever” (feat. Mr Hudson) Kanye West
give a better order, and that it. maybe only one SLU song but that’s it !!!
but i really think he doesn’t give a fucc of that for this new and transitional album cuz he thinks that that album is for the new generation and his absolute stans too (lol) but i mean, probably the drake’s fans and wayne’s fans, the youngest fans, teenagers and young men, will love this album for the next five years.

FIRST OFF, DRAKE>J.COLE
AND HERE’S WHY,THEYRE BOTH TALENTED AND DEFINETLY AT THE FOREFRONT OF THIS UP AND COMING GENERATION,BUT DRAKE IS JUST ALOT MORE VERSATILE,I DONT THINK J.COLE COULDVE HUNG WITH THE LIKES OF EMINEM AS DRAKE DID ON FOREVER, AND FOR THE RECORD DRAKE GOT EM ON THAT ONE, EM ONLY HAD FLOW,HE DIDNT SAY ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT.ANYWAYS THEN DRAKE CAN TURN AROUND AND DO SOME R&B SHIT I KNOW HE GETS KNOCKED FOR IT BUT THAT JUST MAKES HIM A BETTER ARTIST…PERIOD,NOT RAPPER OR MC BUT ARTIST!

J.cole’s verse on A star is born, can fuck wit marshall mathers’ work.
j.cole is underrated but i’m already certain that he can make a greater album than drake… i mean in the hiphop’s way. after drake is a good rapper for sure and his album will be good also. no doubt i think. and a successful album too so

J.Cole flows harder than any of the new kidz out though. Son is viscious. If you don’t know you need to check that Back To The Topic track he dropped about a week ago.
Hov still needs to drop a mixtape and just go in. All this left of center stuff is now what niggaz expect. It’s not a surprise anymore. Ever since Show Me What You Got or arguably Change Clothes….

i think some ppls opinions go too far…drake is more versatile than j. cole in what way?? cuz he sings?? j.cole is more lyrical and can switch is flow, drake sounds EXACTLY the same on every song… j.cole cant stand up to em,kanye and wayne but he more than held is own[II] on a star is born feat JAY-Z. drakes verse feat em,ye and weezy is his second time rapping on that song. i first heard that like two yrs ago with different verses from drake and weezy. J.cole > drake right now cuz j.cole produces on top of rapping
September 5th, 2009 at 9:33 pm

This is true, but I think J. Cole has it. He just has to continue to make the right songs. Dude’s got that Kanye vibe to him, and not jusst because he’s a rapper/producer, but because he can take the everyman schtick but do it in a way that he can still connect to a large audience and get that mainstream love.
Drake & J. Cole are neck and neck.
September 5th, 2009 at 9:50 pm
J. Cole is a better rapper, Drake is more mass appeal-friendly (if that makes sense)

but thats a bit of a copout. i can still have a preference. there is good art, and there’s better art.
^^^
Art is not a product or sumthin at walmart, at this time you might think that, but trust as time goes on you will prob. switch back and forth on whats the best album, i mean with jay i go bck and forth between reason. doube and blueprint 1 and the black album during diff. parts of my life whats the best..

lol j. cole hasn’t even release an album yet people on net have proclaim he will never make a classic tape.
The internet didn’t ruin hip hop. People did.

so its okay to compare other artists albums in their catalogue, but when it comes to Jay’s it shouldn’t be done…lol.

j.cole was signed just because of his lyrics and intelligence on it
drake was signed cuz of talent (okay) but more because of success and possible success in the futur…
rnb friendly ish and ladies’ love for him… that is a great argument of his success. no shots, he can rap but in term of ’straight hiphop’ he’s overrated like wayne.
that’s factz !
i don’t say it’s because he’s successful so he’s weaker than !!!
nah nah nah… cuz jayz was successful back then and fucking lyrical so
September 5th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
This makes no sense, like success doesn’t bring a whole nother set of problems.

cuz it’s about versatily on rnb friendly beats

I think Drake chose the lane that suited him. If he were to come out on some straight lyrical tip, I still think he would be nice. Just cause he’s marketed & promoted a certain way doesn’t mean that’s all he’s limited to. You’re kind of boxing him in as an artist just cause he’s chosen to try and make a certain kind of music to appeal to the broadest audience possible.

at least we recognize Drake and J.Cole are the top 2 youngins doing it. Me,personally, i just relate to the shit Drake raps about alot more,im attracted to the honesty and its refreshing to hear some shit that aint “gudda” “hood” not all rap funs are from the slums,IM OVER THAT HOOD SHIT,everbody has struggles.most rappers just fill in the blanks these days check this out:
i got more swag than [fill in the blank]
im flyer than [fill in the blank]
im fresher than[fill in the blank]

j cole got already classic tracks !! for sure !!!
but not crossover so people are not happy and say that he’s not greater than drake. but it’s like some underground rappers, too underground wit their sounds to have a critical acclaim of their works.
OB4CL 2 > BP3
of course!!!
but when u compare a good crossover lp with a old school classic sequel lp
people always want that the crossover lp is better because of the futuristic vision of this and the flow on it. but in fact… rae kills it ! in term of hiphop
and i like BP3

Drake is a cool rapper, but let’s not get it twisted, people… his female appeal is a LARGE part of the reason he’s so popular. The average chick that I know isn’t going to listen to Slaughterhouse or some ultra lyrical music, they’re gonna listen to something that’s catchy and hook-driven (see: So Far Gone). And no homo, but you’d be a fool not to recognize that his looks play a large part in his fame. If homey looked like Trick Daddy, we wouldn’t even be discussing him.
…Also, AG >>> BP3. How is this even close?

J. Cole & Drake have to seperate hurdles. Drake has to keep the ladies without leaving the dudes out & J. Cole has to reach for mass appeal without losing the integrity of his message. Both are different but talented MC’s.
I don’t see J. Cole as “better” then Drake just yet. Connecting with the masses is a skill and he has it. He just has’t made “the song” yet. But he will.
September 5th, 2009 at 10:58 pm
This shit is hot, it’s sucks Drake gets hated a lot…Don’t get us wrong, he’s not Jigga, but he has made a huge buzz for himself with tracks like “Best I Ever Had”, “Successful”, “The Winner” just to name a few…Give Drake credit for staying on his grind and not paying attention to his haters..Naright keep bringing the heat!

Iceberg Slim and Al Poelvoordino must be the same people. They both have absolutely horrendous english, and make ridiculously nonsensical points. Jesus Christ, some people will bend over backwards to try and justify their half-assed points like ‘J. Cole is about lyrics so he’ll never make a classic’. Fucking morons. I thought the genuine idiots stayed away from the nah comment section.

dont get it, the song really didnt have a direction till the end, also this doesnt sound like a dj khali beat? Wheres the annoying shouting,
^^^ it’s DJ KHALIL not DJ Khaled…totally different people…like as different as Common and Soulja Boy…LOL. use google to find DJ Khalil’s production credits…he’s a MONSTER on the beats….cop Self Scientific albums while you’re at it
September 7th, 2009 at 4:56 am
tired of people saying drake is pop oriented just cuz he can afford to buy a hot beat now…you dont like hot beats listen to his first mixtape with oldschool basement ass beats and you’ll hear him rip them open too. But everyone wants to say he’s pop cuz he isn’t talking about killing people and he uses tough beats…you are the same people who say nas is better that jay-z. He is comparable… Lyrically he even has the ability to get the upper-hand over jay….but jay is a better song crafter…..which brings me to my point…drake is a better song crafter than j.cole… so drake is the better artist. J.cole is the better lyricist. If you actually listen to hip-hop you know its true. for those of you who still don’t understand… here’s an analogy: Dwayne wade probably has better handles than kobe bryant, but he is not the better all-around ball player.
