Charly Wingate, better known in hip-hop circles as “Max B,” was convicted of felony murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and several other offenses in a June trial in which witnesses testified that he planned the September 2006 robbery at the Holiday Inn on Route 4.

His co-defendant and stepbrother, Kelvin Leerdam, was convicted of the same counts after jurors found that he shot one of the robbery victims, David Taylor.

Both Wingate and Leerdam looked resigned when Superior Court Judge Harry G. Carroll sentenced them in Hackensack. Wingate said he was not happy with his attorney, Gerald Saluti, and fired him during the hearing just before he received his sentence.

His mother, Sharon Wingate, said he will appeal the conviction.

“We will be back,” she said.

I’ll be honest with you, at first I wasn’t feeling this track as much as I wanted too. The reason I say that is because when you first hear the beat you know it’s a banger but I initially felt like their was certain parts in Cudis delivery on the hook that could have been touched up or refined. Also, I wasn’t feelin’ Jay ad libing Cudi on the hook. BUT…something happen today on the train, for some reason it just all came together and sounded real crisp. So, I’m definitely feeling it a lot more…

^Naw, he should get his money back from paying the bail, well atleast in baltimore if you pay the full bail (not thru a bails bondman) when the defendant goes to court, and the trial is over either way it goes you can get your moeny back, it might be different in NY tho.

Now if you go thru a bails bondman, they pay the whole bail and when it’s all over they get the money, that’s why they hire bounty hunters for the niggas that wanna skip court.
