   the reason why the “exploitation” of The Wire never bothered me much was cause both the dudes who created it used real characters and stories from which they seen and worked with, David Simon worked for the Baltimore Sun forever and really seen all that shit, and other dude was a cop in b-more, so they used real people and stories to base the shit off of, plus they did ill shit like hire snoop, who had no acting experience and was straight out of jail and the deacon was basically Avon in real life, once he got let out he hooked up with them and they put him on the show to give him a job and stay out of the street

    The only thing that kinda bothered me about The Wire was that all of them didn’t have authentic B’More accents…but other than that it was good. LOL! And The Corner was my ish too!

    ^Me too, you can tell who was forcing the accent and who was really from here, my favorite scenes are the ones with snoop, she was the most authentic actor on the wire imo.

    I hated the way omar said newports, no one says “nu potes” down here, lol

    ^when u not from Bmore it’s hard to imitate our accent. I never really watched the show but the one or two episodes I peeped, that irked me the most. It never felt authentic.

    And lil Melvin had Penn Ave goin ham back in the day when people like Lena Horne and Thurgood Marshall was gettin in.
