Tarantino completely makes/remixes b-movies and spaghetti westerns with big budgets and while most directors concentrate on cinematography, narrative, character development etc tarantino is more a fan of actual film (the techniques, the history) and you really see the difference in all his films

Personally, I always thought he relied on the drawn out dialogue, to build the threat of impending brutality. That was always his speciality in my opinion. Have characters go off on a hokey rant about pop culture and then make with the old ultra violence…

Inglorious is a mashup of a bunch of different world war 2 films like kill bill which was a mash up of kung fu theater film.

It incorporates perhaps the first truly tragic love story which is so beautifully told that it is hard not to be moved and the action is perfectly paced but it left me hanging out half way through.

they should’ve gotten a better hook and beat. eminem would sound a lot of better on this one.. and would actually murk it. i feel ‘off that’ though.

He is trying to pull the “Still Dre” shit, but that’s probably because he wrote that “Still Dre” shit check the credits. These lyrics are miles above anything that’s out today. If Drake wrote “Think with indelible ink i’ll let the pen go, verses permanently tattooed as a momento” everyone would be trying to hand him the crown. This is maturity at it’s best.
