it depends. i got a pair of ill LV waterproof kicks w/gumsole traction that are as high as chucks. i got a couple pair of waterproof Polo boots that keep the feet warm. i got a car tho so for the most part i don’t stress boots unless the weather calls for it.

^I never had a fake pair of any kicks (that I know of, because truthfully even retailers get big ass shipments of kicks in and many of them shits aint sponsored by the manufacturer) but I damn sure contemplated buying a pair, on some one-and-done shit like Jerz was saying earlier. For instance, one occasion that I would recommend that for is the beach. Though I could splurge on an new pair (c) my L.A. trip in ’04), I’d rather just cop somethin’ to stunt on the boardwalk and keep it movin’. And probably leave them shits in whateva tellie we stayin’ in once we bounce. Most of them sadidy ass kicks I don’t plan to wear on a regular basis.
Now SHOES on the other hand, I can’t shortcut those. I learned recently that it aint nothin’ like a quality pair of casual shoes. Plus it’s not a good look to have a casual shoe fallin’ apart on you while kickin’ it to a heffa. You’ll get Rodney Dangerfielded REAL quick.

Mostly because they have regular stuff that fits the way I want it to. Other than that, you wouldn’t catch me in a DTLR unless they got some kicks on sale.
And FTR, I never PLAN to buy clothes (unless it’s for a special occasion). I’m an avid window shopper and then I’ll see a sign that says “40 – 70%” and I’m like SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIT. I know I can find somethin’ in this piece to buy.
