   classic point about lack of male influence:
   a family friend on my wife’s side has two sons, the oldest is 11, pops in and out of jail, on drugs, came up around straight females. my wife tells me one time they were just hanging at the crib and son starts to dance like he’s making his ass clap, no bullshit, cause he sees his mom dancing like that and he doesn’t have any males around to tell him cut it out. this is also why it’s important for black men to become grade level teachers and get in these classes with younger black males and be positive role models. if it’s becoming a norm for kids to grow up without fathers, black men who feel they have some type of responsibilty to the next generation have to position themselves to be in these kids lives when no other male is present. do big brother programs, mentor, something, because a black boy CAN’T grow up without a male figure in his life these days, streets are too influential.
