I remember when I first got put on to Madlib…I felt like I was sleeping so bad. And this was back in the Lootpack/1st Quasimoto LP days.

D-Block you fuck with Reggae at all? He’s got an ill mix “Blunted in the Bombshelter”. He’s got a bunch of early work that’s hard to find on mp3s now…they were mostly 12″ tracks or album cuts for underground cats. He’s got a couple tracks with LMNO that are real ill.

Madlib’s Quasimoto – “The Unseen” is my shit.

A lot of cats don’t like the Quas voice…I didn’t on the first 3 or 4 spins. I had a co-worker that forced me to listen to it. But after that I was hooked [ll], the beats and concepts on that album are so ill. That’s a classic to me, one of my favorite albums.

^Not to intervene on the e-beef, but that makes no sense to me. How does one’s subjective opinion of music makes them simple-minded? For instance, Christion’s album is boring to me and I wouldn’t wanna smash to it either. However, Raheem DeVaughn’s debut LP is a masterpiece and if I ever decided to put in work to an album that wasn’t from the New Jack Swing/70′s/60′s era, it’d be that one.
