    Good music is good music.

    Nothing subjective about it.

If you fail to see what makes it great, then you must be simple minded.

And that Christion album had it’s moments, but yeah, it was kinda boring.

That was a random ass reference too, but at least I can tell you actually listen to the music and have the aptitude to critique it. But to make glaringly uninformed statements like some of these cats…

^See, I used to get caught up in these kinds of convos mostly because of my previous aspiring A&R endeavors. But, I’m convinced that some people are just tuned differently. Just like how you don’t like whatever the hell rap album they was talkin’ bout in that last thread, I would probably would cosign even though I haven’t heard it because that’s not really my brand of hiphop.

No matter what though, even with Nas, people will find a reason to be unsatisfied with this line-up.

^I’m not a Hove hater, I just don’t like his recent musical efforts. Some artists do eventually fall off. I don’t know why this is hard to comprehend. I haven’t paid money for a Camel purchase since the Black Album.

BP3 might be a frisbee. Let me hear some leaked tracks. All them bubby ass features on there are DEFINITELY not convincing me otherwise.

  57. D. Billz Says:

D.O.A was designed to fool the hardcore Hip-Hop heads.

^And that’s exactly the beef I had with it. Niggas fell for the okie doke. He made a track to shit on everyone else’s grind because he wasn’t gettin’ any attention. Then he pulled a ho move by “excusing” Wayne and Yeezy for using because those are his babies. Especially after Kanye received success from it (and 808′s is dope IMO, even though I hated on it before I heard it).

There’s actually some great auto-tune songs out there… some bad ones too… but some great ones. Instead of making DOA, he should’ve just did something totally different to make people open their eyes, i.e. a new instrument, sound, etc. I don’t like when he did that.

And some of the local artists from his own city was gettin’ CRAZY spins on the air in his own town and he wasn’t, i.e. Webstar (and for the record, that Dancing On Me track is lava, for those who party/club it up).

  58. kevKONGquistador Says:

i dont need no ambiguous niggas musically whispering in me or my woman’s ear to set off no relations … some of you niggas type the most childish assinine shit in regards to both music and getting pussy ….

    ^^^
i’m sure this wasn’t directed @ me since the maxwell debate spun into a war of words and i said absolutely NOTHING about niggas gettin pussy w/my comment regarding maxwells music.

    i’m sure.

if it is tho let me just add that its always the mahfuka that has problems w/the opposite sex that read too much into some of my theories/stories/thoughts etc. and get in a sentive way to remark about it IN THE STREETS ALONE. so i can imagine what some of the PC squares on this site that have trouble w/the opposite sex feel about my opines regarding women. just to reiterate…..

i said maxwells music gets CLASSSY woman in the mood for love/lovemakin. in MY experience thas just the truth. it’s one of those phenomenons like denzels walk(no). my moms been talkin bout that mans stride(ut-uh) years before any broad i’ve wacthed a denzel movie w/echoed the same sentiment. maxwells music has that effect on women that listen to a variety of r n b. i pay attention to details like that cause i be on some serious womanizer shit. for the man that doesn’t pay attention it must be that you don’t got an angle on females or it took you a minute to secure a relationship. either way, this subject matter isn’t for little boys lookin pa nub.

Exactly!!! He has alot of great & timeless songs, but also has alot of downfalls! But because he is soo successful the reality of his body of work gets exaggerated in terms of how great it is! i used to get excited about Jay albums…. but this is ridiculous. looks like Jay-Z and friends… the only thing that did get me wanting to hear this album is that there was supposed to be a collabo with Nas?

    anywho…. Jays finished

  395. oatz Says:

the first ny state of mind was done by bill joel so why does nas have to be on it. When biggie and pac was alive jay-z just came out with his fist album. after vol 3 come out people started see how nasty he was. Also game is a grouping he has named Jay-z in 77 song said the reason why he raps is because of biggie,2pac,nas,easy and jay-z. He is stun mad because jay won’t do a song with him.

and by the way, kingdom come was a hell of a record….ive started listening to it again…3/4 of those songs are range from bangin to listenable but none are bad. jay-z still does it as good if not better than just about everyone in the game. blueprint 3 should be a classic. im surprised weezy isn’t on there tho. and i would have liked to see akon for a hook or somethin. like on the jeezy track…..

ppl r upset over all the features but the truth is 90% of the features r hooks… Jay didn’t do his own hooks on BP the difference is u didn’t know the soul singers that did… & well Kanye had a couple.

Yall still want jay 2 be hardcore & that time is come & gone… he said it best”ppl always saying yo Hov take it back. I’m doing better that b4 why wud I do that?”….

so what if he is making POPular music. it’s music 4 every1 2 hear & enjoy it’s good music…. yall don’t support ($) street music anyway!!

    Blueprint…Eminem
    Black Album…Rick Rubin
American Gangsta…Sampled and Redid Beastie Boys…

Not sure what skin has to do with this…
Kingdom Come was a solid album, very much overlooked.

  410. philly Says:

Look the album is solid he 40 and better then half the rappers in the game.
and thats why people are saying he’s to old. how can you be to old to do something you love to do. hip hop is a sport now wow. you can be to old to write are say wards. there rules to art now. what do people want from the boy. this his 11th album and he still want to give yaw more. he already rich he aint gotta do shit. but sit on his rich ass but he choose to do the thing he love best. and all i hear all over the web is hate. i respect any one who does what they wanna do. trust me he aint doing it for the money or to get at nigga’s. plus you get at nigga’s by getting money pac even said that.
i hope i get to the point i have so much money my groupys hate on me.
GOOD JOB HOV. I HOPE YOU 60 STILL GETTING IT IN HIP HOP.

Couldnt have said it better Philly

  412. jank Says:

IM A JAY-Z FANATIC BUT IM DISSAPOINTED IN THE ALBUM.I KNOW HIP HOP TIMES ARE BAD,BUT YOU JUST CANT GIVE ME ANYTHING.ALL REAL HIP-HOP WOULD RECOGNIZE THIS CD ISNT A CLASSIC.KINGDOM COME GROWN MAN SHIT(BUT DOES’NT GET ANY LOVE).

  413. ice Says:

YALL JUST NEED TO STOP HATING ON JAY-Z’S NEW ALBUM BECAUSE IT WAS GREAT. THAT WAS ONE OF HIS GREATEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME. PEOPLE JUST WANT TO HEAR RAPPERS TALK ABOUT FAKE RHYMES AND ALL THAT OTHER BULLSH*T. BUT JAY-Z KEEPS IT 100! HIS NEW ALBUM WAS MORE CLASSY AND WAS MORE ABOUT THE LYRICS WHICH SOME OF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT. BUT KEEP IT UP J-HOVA, YOU STILL THE BEST!

  414. tim Says:
