In this clip Cudi explains why he felt like retiring that one time and why he eventually changed his mind. This was at SXSW, and if I’m not mistaken, this interview took place in front of Peckerheads [ll] right after the NR/TSS showcase ended. I distinctly remember being sloshed and stashing like 50 CDs and flyers in TC’s backpack. So this was maybe a week or two after he first put up that infamous retirement blog post.
