Not every record has to have like 5 different meanings and have to be listened to 5 times to understand it (exaggeration but you get the point). You can have skills and sell (as proved by Eminem/ Jay-Z/ Nas) guys like Mos etc just haven’t perfected the balance yet.
Anyway this will never go down for these reasons:
1) Theirs a chance Jay might lose on a public stage, at this point in his career he might not be able to recover.
2) Even if Jay won he wouldn’t get any credit.
3) Everyone will probably be supporting Mos as the underdog (as happens in every Jay-Z battle).

Roger Mayweather, the uncle and head trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr., was arrested and charged with coercion with force and battery strangulation over the weekend in Las Vegas, according to multiple media reports on Monday.
The charges result from a confrontation with Melissa St. Vil, a professional boxer that Mayweather, 48, had trained in the past.
According to the police report, officers answered a call at a private residence on Sunday morning and found Mayweather with his arms around St. Vil. He released her, and she begain coughing and splitting blood.
The police report says that paramedics described redness on St. Vil’s throat and defensive wounds on Mayweather’s face and head. St. Vil stated that she hit Mayweather in the head with a small lamp as he attempted to strangle her, and the according to the police report, the lamp did have blood on it.
She also stated that she was hit in the ribs several times.
Mayweather was taken into custody and transported to Clark County Detention Center.
St. Vil had trained with Mayweather until about three months ago, the police report says, when she terminated her agreement with him.
He is scheduled to work the corner in Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s return to the ring on Sept. 19 against Juan Manuel Marquez.

And yea, its art, so it’s all subjective, but if you took a poll of dopest hiphop performers I’m sure there would somewhat be a consensus on those artists. And the common similarity wouldnt be “explosions”(who in hiphop even does that anymore?), or how “animated” the rapper was, or how ill his lyrics where. It would be a quality that most couldnt really describe with words, people just know when they’re engaged.
