Salt and Pepa kinda did in a way too with I’ll Take Your Man and Tramp and their later shit. Rap by females thats actually geared 100% to females. I’m thinking most female rappers don’t take this approach because the mainstream ones are usually ushered in by dudes who write for them, and the underground ones are really that discernible from the male rappers.
I think Herby Luv Bug mightve been a genius.
