While Michael Jackson never got to cut his 51st birthday cake, Q-Tip is commemorating the late legend’s forthcoming birthday with a party at Manhattan’s Nokia Theatre.
Dubbed “Long Live the King! A Birthday Celebration for Michael Jackson,” the celebration will take place on August 29, with doors opening at 10 p.m. and DJing by Q-Tip, Mark Ronson and DJ Spinna.
“Michael Jackson was a huge influence on my music and was an inspiration to me and so many others,” Q-Tip said via press release. “I want to bring people together to celebrate the man, his music and his legacy that will undoubtedly live on forever!”
