Crime Pays disappointed me immensely, i think Cam needs to spend some money on quality production because them rinky dink hundred beats for a couples G’s non-sense ain’t cuttin’ it anymore. It worked for a while ( Dipset 04-06) but those beats are lackluster now.
Could you imagine Cam getting beats from Black Milk, Dj Khalil, Scram, Justice League etcc….Good lord…

As lackluster as the beats were, Cam sounded pretty listless and uninspiring during a good portion of the album as well. It’s like he felt like he had to drop an album, as opposed to really wanting to make music.

I think Cam still has some good albums in him (Ayo?) but he definitely needs to step his production up. He gets beats from beatmakers, he needs to be getting tracks from producers.
But I’m convinced Cam no longer cares. He raps cause he’s been doing it so long that he’s good at it & that’s what makes him money. That’s it.
