but voice is 90% of what keeps you listening
^^
Absolutely. Mic presence trumps everything and an ill voice is the sureset way to have that. Voice has nothing to do with technical ability tho. Game’s had problems with breath control in the past. Which is something you will never find with the top tier technicians (Jay, Elzi, Meth, etc.)

What you think about the track “do it like me” I tried to go for a mainstream/swag like flow on that one
^
Yeah I peeped that….the beat could’ve used more drums to it like some crashes and the heys…..but to me…I like Outstanding better….

Lets be real about Wale, that nigga drops names like Game. I dont ever see that mentioned
***True…but Wale is more of a stream of consciousness type dude- like his flow sounds more off the head than calculated, so he gets away with certain shit, such as saying “the name Wale” or “my name Wale” in every rhyme, lol..

I saw a vast improvement on a technical level from Documentary to Doctor’s Advocate. But LAX seemed to be a regression to me strictly in terms of flow.

Yeah, I totally understand what your saying about the track, it just seems like it’s missing something, I truthfully don’t even know if he was finished making the beat, I was writing to the beat while he was making it on some “hustle & Flow” type shit

eh. Listenin to it all the way through and he has this wierd, tired sounding flow that isnt really characteristic of him at all..only a few tracks he actually goes in. Worth a listen, some might like it more than others
