Dough Boy fathered a generation of incoherent/ignorant/gansta ass motherfuckers. No Shots at Cube but his visuals on that fathered a generation of degenerate motherfuckers. again No Shots

There’s gotta be consideration for consistency as an artist.
^^
I can also co-sign this because its part of the reason I say Jay > Nas
I think I am biased toward Cube though since I lived in CA during his hey days & my cousin stayed playin his albums. But I know Face is that nigga too & I respect him more now than ever since I moved to TX.

I just think Face was nicer on the mic then Cube, that’s all.
In conclusion i rather listen to Face before, today and probably in 5 years.

My mom took me to see Boyz in the Hood when it first dropped. I was like five or six. I was into Mike Jack and Stevie more than anything, but I was excited as shit about the movie because Ice Cube was in it. When you make the kind of music Cube made during that time, and have 5 years olds rocking with you, you’ve created some kind of magic.

Can anyone explain to me why people call out Grown Simba as the J. Cole track to listen to? Couldn’t really get into his mixtape at all until I heard Lights Please. Simba is one of the weakest on the tape to me.
July 21st, 2009 at 5:46 pm
Because J.Cole has already made it? nah… right? Dont Charles Hamilton yourself homie, you havent made it until the 1st album doesnt flop.

Its crazy how everybody was in love with J. Cole when he put out amazing music and now that people are slowly starting to know him, its time for the “comment all-stars” to begin the hating session. Lmao, is there any new rapper that you guys like ??
