As far as the production, tracks like Vacation, Put On, and Who Dat (along with others) sound like nothing dude has ever rapped on to me.
^
Yeah you right but they all still had that athem feel to it and there were more tracks that sounded similar then not. Also, i do agree that he did switch it up as far as content goes, which was a major plus for him and a practical move.
In conclusion, Jeezy has one of the strongest 3 album catalogues known to man.

he aint purist rap or blog rap, but he make music for the club.
^^
lol, you think I don’t understand that? Music for the club doesnt have to equal “shitty music”. And that’s what Dorrough does. I’m not asking him to be purist or blog rap (which I think is clear), I just wish he didnt suck, that’s all.

his music is typical dallas boogie for the club. thats what the average song sounds like. So basically you’re saying that club music is shitty right? well I can understand cause some people got different taste in music.

Nope, I’m not saying that at all (as far as ALL “club” music sucking). But if that’s what the average DALLAS CLUB song sounds like, then yes, the average Dallas club song is shitty. But since I havent heard the radio, or been to a club in Dallas, I’m just gonna have to take your word for it that this is what most of the songs being played in the club sound like.

Yea, I didnt hear it in its entirety, but based on the positive buzz I read on him before the album dropped, to the complete lack of buzz after, I’m gonna have to co-sign.

Ok, so here’s the thing, i perosnally think The Documentary will eventually be regarded as a classic and think it’s on of the best produced albums in the past 6 years (as you do). So with that said…
Documentary > Thug Motivation
Doc’s Advocate (a helluva album and i’m partial) = Inspiration
The Recession > LAX
Digest….

I wouldn’t say its own brand but the music in that region and louisiana has more of a jig feel like the halle berry song, my dougie, walk that walk….
But niggas in louisiana was jigging way before dallas and then they came out the rack daddy and my dougie and my jig, when louisiana had the rachet years before…
