When being a stan goes wrong! No shots but c’mon, what has budden done on that level that is touching that? not at all. because the argument most of yall hold to is that the Wu has classics, but what even constitutes a classic anymore. No knock against artists that put out “classics” these days, but its more about marketability and less about the craft. If you put Slaughterhouse or Joe in the Wu era and switched the Wu into this era it would be similar… its not like the posse genre is real deep or expanding or anything.
lmao at j cole being better than anyone, i played his whole shit twice and started to really like it but then had to dead it – first couple joints was cool, rest was doodoo. that’s a one hot song every 5 songs average. fuck outta here. to be a freshman in the game ur first real mixtape has to be illmatic or else i can’t fuck with u. don’t give me no recycled shit. SFG had only a couple recycled beats. the secret is that if ur a freshman, u can’t just rip any old beat. u gotta bring *new shit.* new beats. new shwag. has to be a free album. cole’s shit wasn’t as tight as it could be.

Theres two things I would say to that. One is if Slaughterhouse were an innovator instead of a group that had the way paved for it then yes I think the results could possibly be diff. We will never know though… the other thing is the fact that most of the good hip-hop is relegated to E1/Koch, the internet and mixtapes speaks to whether or not (in this cae probably not) something is a classic. Wu wouldn’t get the momentum to make a classic because who wants to hear rappers battling about “imaginary emcees” or “real nigga shit” when theres a commercial rapper doing it over a beat thats better to roll to.
