In the fifth of eight exclusive video interviews shot behind the scenes at this year’s Rock the Bells opener, DJ Z goes backstage with Booth favorite K’naan to discuss the selection of “Wavin’ Flag” as South Africa’s World Cup anthem, his forthcoming “mixtape” projects (created with the help of a few very exciting collaborators), and which company supplies him with his trademark fedoras.

^ I understand what you’re saying, but just co-signs and industry recognition won’t get you to where he is. Hell Jay has been co-signing Bleek forever, but Bleek has never been and will never be THAT Nigga. It takes talent to do what he does. He cant just be average. Are there better rappers than him, of course. But they don’t have the total package. Maybe they can only rhyme, but cant make a song to save their life. Or maybe they can only reach a certain demographic and can’t catch them all, this kid can, for the most part
