On Friday, NBA ballplayer Bobby Simmons of the New Jersey Nets celebrated the one-year anniversary of his clothing company, SuccezZ, with a Sprite Green-sponsored concert and party. Local Chicago favorite Mikkey Halsted performed with Lupe Fiasco’s new band, Hey Champ, and D.C. newcomer Wale brought the house down with a 30 minute set that included previous Booth features “Nike Boots,” “Back In The Go Go,” “Chillin,” and “Pretty Girls.”

honestly there is no way anyone can say drought 3 was frisbee status.
Dude took every single instrumental from every single popular song at the time and bodied them all. Completely zoned the fuck out. I listened to BOTH cds of that tape easy 50 times through, and I could still find bars that I never understood before. whattup fux…man, my brother just got back from Vegas. He’s doing his thing coaching basketball now, so he was invited by his head coach to just be a “fly on the wall” in the Denver Nuggets camp. Hung out with George Karl, the GM, all the assistants, strength and conditioning coaches and a bunch of other people. I’m mad jealous, shit was crazy. He told me some funny ass stories too.
