Video: Get to Know P.Casso
Time Out New York catches up with P.So (bka P.Casso) of the AOK Collective.
While out partying with DJ Get Live at the weekly HomeBase NYC bash at bOb’s, TONY ran into AOK Collective member P. Casso. Gearing up for a show down the block, the Earthtone King caught us up on his latest mixtape release, Earthtones, speaking about the concept behind the record and what he’s trying to bring to his eclectic crew and New York hip-hop in general. P.So also spoke about how “Mr. Hollywood,” the lead single off his first major release, For Your Consideration, helped him secure his deal with High Water Music.

And that certain charisma that Maino has is his Street Cred,
=======================================
But it’s more then nthat. There’s an authenticity to Maino and his story is the classic rags to riches tale that we can all either relate to or at least admire his come up. There’s something about Maino’s story and persona that rings true and you can’t manufacture that (i.e Rick Rawse). I’ve watched dude come from the mixtapes, to being Lil’ Kim’s hype man, to beefing with Gravy to getting down with T.I. and coming from a local artist to a having a national hit with “All The Above”. You gotta respect his grind, if nothing else.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Co-sign. Maino ain’t Hov but he seems like a genuine dude, he’s happy to be in the game reaping the benefits of his hard work. He’s selfmade and that’s refreshing in a game where cookie cutter artists (see: Drake, anything out the South) are what’s popping. On the strength I’m buying three copies of his album (don’t know if I’ll ever listen) and going to see him Cam’ron and Styles P next weekend at the Congress Theatre.

I do respect his grind, but i have never been the type of listener to get open or listen harder because the things being rapped are actually true.
I don’t admire anything Maino’s come up, FTR.
I acknowledge he knows how to make a hit record and that’s wassup, but as an MC i think he is below mediocre and i could give a shit about his music.

Three workers at a waste transfer station in Queens were overcome by toxic fumes Monday afternoon and died, apparently falling one after another into the Stygian gloom of a putrid, manhole-size, 18-foot-deep well they were trying to vacuum, fire officials said.
3 Workers Dead at Waste Plant in Queens
Post a Comment on City Room
The New York Times
The accidents occurred at a waste transfer station in Jamaica, Queens.
A rope and ladder dangling into the hole, which was filled with deadly concentrations of hydrogen sulfide gas, and the accounts of witnesses at the scene suggested to the authorities that one victim had fallen first to his death and that the other two had followed in successive, futile rescue efforts.
Firefighters found the bodies — including those of a father and son — floating face down in four feet of murky water at the bottom of the hole at the Regal Recycling Company at 172-06 Douglas Avenue in Jamaica, an ugly street of waste plants, garbage scows and sheds enclosed by chain-link fences and topped by fluttering American flags.

Them white boys are funny, but there aren’t any smart comedians like Chappelle anymore.
Mooney don’t even say nigga anymore.
Its cool to laugh at a fatty falling or getting hit in the face or other white shenanigans, but the world is worse off without a black dude dressing in white face & acting subliminally racist.
