While Common was at Current TV, The RottenTomatoes Show got to ask him about his five favorite movies:
5. The Usual Suspects (think about the way he wrote “Testify”)
4. Forrest Gump (co-sign)
3. Coming to America
2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (co-sign, what up Jay)
1. The Godfather
Respect his S.A.G. card! Current will have a full interview with Common for their new show “Embedded” (get it?) which premieres this Fall.
Sidebar: I didn’t know Common was gonna be in Date Night with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, check out the star studded cast at IMDB.
Diz Gibran – Live @ Club Nokia in Los Angeles 6/13/09
For his latest feet, BMUSE captured some of hip hop’s brightest talents:
On Saturday (6/13/09) I made my way to LA to catch Clipse rock Club Nokia (Which is not The Nokia Theater by the way) with the likes of Armory Massive (who didn’t show), Diz Gibran, Pac Div and B.O.B.
After a quick trip to Kushmart and some down time in Hollywood we made our way to the venue to pick up our passes before spending some quality Time @ The Yardhouse. After some drinks we headed in and began filming. First was Diz and then Pac Div. Pacific Division also threw out free pairs of shoes from Nike and The Hundreds which was very cool of them.
Following Pac Div was Clipse who I thought would be last considering they were the main attraction @ the show but I guess they had other plans.
Hit the jump for Pac Div, Clipse doing “Kinda Like a Big Deal” and B.o.B.

Maino speaks on being one of the new faces of NY, and the need to bring the NY hip hop scene forward. He also speaks a bit about his relationship with Lil Kim. Hit the jump to see Part 2 of the interview where he speaks on doing a 10 year prison bid, how Biggie influenced him to start rapping

Backstage after a show, Talib Kweli & Hi Tek reflect on the making of the Blackstar Album, and they give their opinions on what it takes to be a dope emcee and a dope producer. Performance snippets included.
