Young Jeezy – 24 23 (Dissing Gucci Mane & OJ Da Juiceman)
Young Jeezy will be dropping Thug Motivation 103 soon, so of course he had to stir up some shit. Although my man Young Legend thinks it was warranted.
I used to pay Kobe, but now I pay Lebron…

The Recession >>>>>
Year end lists are inherently bullshit, because albums grow with time and the world changes simultaneously. You really won’t know a true classic until at least the next year.
With that said, The Recession was the best major label hiphop album to drop last year, and possibly the best hiphop album period. The whole disc sounds like barely contained chaos, the exact state of the world we live in. And it takes a few listens to really appreciate how thoroughly Jeezy is murdering that shit.

Nope. Most I’ve really heard of Jeezy is Thug 101, which I copped back when it was out.
I actually think Jeezy’s UNDERRATED. I think because he’s a bammer people dismiss him, but he’s just outside that top 5-7.
Off the top, the top four of that group:
Jay
Wayne
Ye

(Not coincidentally, the S.L.U. crew.)
Nas is probably next. I think Jeezy would be top ten.

Naw, it isnt. Finally heard it in its entirety. Sounds like a hodgepodge of potential singles and contrived “street bangers”. No album continuity. LET ME ASK YAW…DO ANYONE WHO MADE A COMMENT ON GUCCI MANE OR OJ GOT :
CHICKEN TALK
CHICKEN TALK 2
SO ICEY BOY MIXTAPE
EA MIXTAPE
ICE ATTACK
GUCCI SOSA
WRITINGS ON WALL
GANGSTA GRILLZ MIXTAPE THE MOVIE …..
IF YOU never heard of these mixtapes ur a certified pussy for one…and secondly u a internet “Curtains” Talib Kweli type nigga..i listen to all types of music from UNI to J. Cole to Wiz Khalefia…and Wale…and etc and etc…but at the end of the day gucci mane has always i repeat ALWAYS MADE BETTER SONGS THAN JEEZY….if you don’t have his body of work how can yaw comment on something u only listen to in passing? just because you heard a couple of songs on the radio and etc think u really know the artist? let me tell u…Gucci mane gets $50,000 a show any city in the country besides maybe NY or Cali…anywhere right now…the highest club paid artist in the country period…everyone knows that. its not because he got lucky..its because hood niggas like me that can weed out corny mutha fuckas that appeal to white america like jeezy listen to him. I got Colin Munroe in my changer right now with Gucci Mane next….so don’t try and discredit my listening preference. I know good songs when i hear them and all of JEEZYS SOUND THE EXACT SAME…EVEN THIS ONE..ISN’T THIS IS THE SAME BEAT OFF 102…OR WAS IT TRAP OR DIE?….UM I DON’T KNOW…because THEY ALL SOUND THE FUCKING SAME.. smarten up people. when are you going to realize yo can only hate for too long before you have to actually listen to the artist. Gucci’s Sosa and Chicken Talk and Gangsta Grillz are better than any album or mixtape Jeezy has ever done and I will put that on my life. if you don’t take the time to listen to the artist how will yo ever educate yourself without making an biased opinion. I listen to good music and Gucci makes classic music…everything is there except mainstream sucess which you all try to judge people on…just listen to some of his classic material and not leaked bullshit on the net then come back and comment. if u dont have one of those mixtapes…DONT FUCKING COMMENT U SOFT ASS PISSY FACE SNOWBALL SNOWMAN GEORGE FOREMAN LOOK ALIKE KEISHA COLE SONG SINGING ASS COMMERCIAL ASS SNOWFLAKE ASS BITCH COWARD ASS NIGGA. THIS FOR HOOD NIGGAS…IF U LISTEN TO POSITIVE ASS RAPPERS DONT CLICK SHIT HERE….THIS AINT UR CUP OF TEA AND GET OVER IT…MORE FROM THE SUBURBS AND GET UR SELF A GUN AND THEN U MIGHT LISTEN TO GUCCI MANE LA FLARE AND NOT SOME FAT GREASY BUTTERBALL ASS NIGGA NAMED YOUNG CHEEZY.

Regardless though
Gucci Mane and OJ Da Juiceman are still shitty rappers. Some people can relate to retards and I guess these niggaz are reppin 4 the special needs rap conglomerate! Im Not a hater, but the music doesnt sound good.Gucci did sound tight on the RECIPE w/ E-40 and Bun-B though.
jeezy is dope and all but I don’t get the pay Kobe, now I pay Lebron shit (or Play Kobe or Play Lebron, whatever he said)maybe its a drug reference!!
June 16th, 2009 at 11:41 am
Gucci > Jeezy for the last 2 years straight. No comparison. Jeezy doin the commercial thing, he works with the best producers money can buy, and still getting burnt up by Gucci + Zaytoven/Shorty Red/DJ Speedy (lol). Its insane to me that Jeezy would reignite this beef, since the last time he tried this shit, ask Pookie Loc how well it went. Oh you can’t, because Gucci shot him dead.
Gucci real. Someone needs to slap Jeezy in his fool head for this one.
June 16th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
wonkakid well said. jeezy need to sit the hell down and stop dressing like a nerd
June 16th, 2009 at 8:53 pm
i cant believe people dont get the kobe/lebron reference. the song name is 24/23. i used to pay 24, now i pay 23? think drugs for a minute…
P.S. gucci and oj both suck bald balls and i would LOVE for jeezy to put these 2 circus clowns to sleep. anybody who thinks this shit is good dumber than a bag of bricks. shits wack son. its too much good music out to listen to these clowns. there are no gucci and oj fans. there are only drumma boy and zaytoven fans. with out beats from these 2 producers oj and gucci would still be riding that short bus with the limo tint
