June 11th, 2009 at 5:04 am
Poor, poor CH…
Love his music, most of the time, but God damn that kid can’t stop fucking up. His original intentions fail miserably every single time they get put to the test. This is just another situation where 99% of the real problems could have been avoided had he gone about it the RIGHT way.
*sigh*

It’s not embarrassing to admit being a fan. he makes it extremely hard for the hip hop head to give love when he keeps fuckin up/running his mouth like a kid. Using dillas name for self-promotion was the last straw for me.

I don’t understand this whole CH fiasco, cause I don’t follow the guy. But isn’t he just make dilla the executive producer out of respect or did he try to fool people. Look at stillmatic nas daughter is the executive producer.
June 11th, 2009 at 7:34 am
From the point max lawyer made his first youtube video, you had to know he wasn’t legit. Max tried to rob a nigga for 30,000 so u know he didn’t have money to get a real lawyer.
June 11th, 2009 at 7:38 am
It’s not so much what he did with the credits on his album, it’s the bullshit he spun when he was questioned and eventually caught out afterwards.

welcome to detroit was. I think Ja love Japan was. I think thats the one he made where all the beats were Jazzy.
The reason I think JayDee was the greatest producer ever is because his beats whould be totally Left field on one cd… and then the next cd it would be on some Jazz ish… then the next cd he would use nothin but old samples… then on the next cd it would be all outerspace ish like “lightworks” was

Dilla’s passing may have boosted his reputation alot, but besides a select few, there isnt a producer in hiphop more deserving, underground or otherwise.
truthfully, he excelled in the area where almost all beat-makers fail: variety. IMO, there is no tell-tale dilla ‘sound’ (besides the siren he used as a calling card). The more JDee beats I find, the more awed I am at his versatility.

if you listened to Charles 3rd or 4th mixtape, “andtheyplayed Dilla” you would have known this move was coming … trust me he’s paying homage … his belief that he communicates on a spiritual level with Dilla is real to him, for there are people who believe and practice these things … people shouldnt mock that, unless they have tried to experience it for self … granted, how he handled it publicly is subject to debate … but goddamn, the dude is basically just leaving his teenage years … he, and everyone else his age makes errors in judgement … he hurt no one … period … the person he supposed to have hurt is already dead (unfortunately) … so everybody chill …

Right after Dilla’s death…Houseshoes and all of his true friends from the D were the ones taking care of his family. Organizing Lupus walks across the country in honor, but also to raise money.
When “The Shining” was released…Houseshoes was the one who toured the US and threw the listening parties. He was one of the main people keeping the torch lit. You guys are acting like he’s capitalizing off this, like it ain’t sincere.
Dilla was a humble dude, didn’t chase the spotlight when everybody knew he was the best. Skipping Blueprint recording sessions to work on Frank N Dank outta loyalty. That’s Detroit, that’s how all these cats are connected.

don’t know dilla that well? let me let you in on something. J-dilla is your favorite producer’s favorite producer. that guy is a legend amongst the ranks of Rza, Primo, and Large professor. See? it’s not easy to comprehend what Jay Dee did on the music tip if u’r just a hip-hop fan conditioned to listed to certain hip hop bumps. dilla had a way of experimenting and pushing music to the edge where he’s become so far ahead of the game, it took years for a lot of people to finally absorb what he contributed to this culture. like a mad scientist, he pushed the boundaries of what is possible with our music. “Nothing like this” is a great example, and so is “won’t do”. he didn’t give a rat’s ass about fame, popularity, ratings, awards, swagger meters, or any superficial machines that drive most of the industry today. He just wanted to make music period. ground breaking music. A lot of people have before tried to push music as far as he did but many are unsuccessful. it’s easy to make a banger nowadays cuz of formula. Jay Dills never used the same formula twice. he would have an eerie instrumental, a crazy strip club bang joint, a march, a space trip, and a painfully mastered soul beat. you would think that all these would sound all too scattered on one cd but no sir! Dilla had a way of having beats fit in while keeping their own integrity and character. that’s very rare nowadays. he woke up, made beats, that’s it. Literally to the death. donuts was created in the hospital while he was waiting to die. to me, it was like DaVinci sketching down as many ideas as he could before he was gone for good. THAT ALONE HAS SET A VERY HIGH STANDARD FOR THE REST OF OUR CULTURE TO FOLLOW. He died makin’ beats for real. beats that changed your view of music. he opened a lot of people’s eyes to what we are capable of doing and understanding. that’s why a lot of people love him. he changed their perception of music. it’s not just about how hype the music is fellas, it’s also how the music contributed to your life. ya dig? nuff sed. Now get the discography and give it a year, you’ll be a different person. LOL!
June 11th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
as for charles, i just done told you to keep yo head right boy. you on some phucked up drugs or somethin? damn man, you startin to look like a leech tryin to suck off hip hop’s main vain. startin to look like you just doin it for all the wrong reasons man. you need to learn history and know the way of the culture….. the real culture, not the glam shit these dumb labels are peddlin. when it all comes down to it, it’s boils down to love, of the music, of the culture, of the family cuz for most of us, it’s all we got. don’t play wit our ways homie. That’s like blasphemy what u did. keep smokin’ that sh1t man, you bout to become milli vanilli faster that you can say help. (shrug) what a let down.

what’s a portage?
what planet have you been living on man? bush was not successful at anything throughout his entire life. he had an enormously wealthy and influential apparatus behind him dictating his every move. you can’t name one thing in or out of office that he did that could be considered a success directly attributed to him.

CHARLES HAMILTON IZ A REAL PIECE OF SHIT!
June 23rd, 2009 at 3:55 pm
CH may be fuckin up but shit haha is music still gos hard. i dont care what the hell happens i still bump his shit. music isa gift from God and if you just not going to like someone because there do dumb shit but still put out shit you would love to play if your never here what the nigga did then fuck it. i dont seee CH stopin his music shit. ever. all he needs to do is think a bit more and not be so stubborn and he could have the whole music thing locked down. i know its fucked what he did and sometimes dose but now they all get on his ass for every lil thing. next video of someone talking about him is gunna be like “Charles Hamilton has not played a Sonic The Hedgehog video game in over a mouth.” just get over the shit he dose. tell his its wrong (to him not over video and blog) and work shit out so the nigga dont make that some mistake twice.
