Snoop has turned out to be more consistent. His last couple LP’s, while not groundbreaking, are dope and very listenable. But he’s never reached the peaks of AmeriKKKa’s, Death Certificate, Kill at Will, or Predator. Not even Doggystyle.
^Word. Doggystyle is a personal favorite because I was an impressionable youth when it dropped and it shaped my ghetto mind.
Snoop’s impressive because of his ability to stay relevant, and reonvent himself within the framework of his already established persona.
I mean, even today he was still probably the nicest emcee on the autotuner…and he was on it before Ye, Wayne, etc.

Even only built for cuban linx had skippers….Carter 2 was a defining moment in wayne’s life. Sometimes its more than music.

I think I was pretty clear, Carter II has like 8 to 10 good tracks on a 22 track album. How are you going to say that’s a classic? His best song is on that album, “The Mobb” But by skippers, I mean when you want to sit down and listen to the album as a whole, not when you’re just scrolling through your iPod picking out tracks to listen to when you’re putting together a playlist because everyone has favorites. At the end of the day, Carter II will never be a classic, nor does it deserve to be.
