If he did it without consulting anyone from Dilla’s side of things then I can see why they would be angry cuz it would seem like he’s trying to thrive off Dilla’s posthumous success. But apart from that I can’t see why there’s an issue.

I look DOA more as of an opinion not a movment. It wont change anything. He gave those guys a pass, but whos to say the next person feels the same way about them. Some hated 808s and some still do. Some people think Weezy should kill himself for using it. And wether or not TPain makes good music or not still is an arguement.

I’m not sayin you can’t do both…but the DOA record felt like Hov felt some type of way about a guy like Wayne usin it. “I might give this to the mixtape Weezy.” So for him to turn around and give wayne a pass, it kinda defeats the purpose.
