Video: Kanye West feat. Mr. Hudson – Paranoid (starring Rihanna) [Final Version]

That wasn’t even an old version, that wasn’t even the video. It was just a bunch of footage, like a timeline type of thing to show the idea. That was pre-rough cut.
- Nabil Elderkin, ‘Paranoid’ Director

IT HURTS ME TO SEE THE OLD AND VERY WRONG VERSION OF THE PARANOID VIDEO GET LEAKED ALL OVER THE NET WHILE I WAS ON AN 11 HR FLIGHT AND COULDN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT’S JUST FRUSTRATING WHEN THIS STUFF HAPPENS BECAUSE I REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND SINCE VIDEOS NEVER GET PLAYED ANY WAY YOU MIGHT AS WELL TWEAK THEM AND MAKE THEM AS SPECIAL AS POSSIBLE. THE VERSION THAT GOT LEAKED FROM THE CAMERA PHONE LAST WEEK IS AT LEAST A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE FINAL PRODUCT. THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR YOUR SUPPORT BUT THAT VIDEO WAS NOT UP TO MY STANDARDS.
- Kanye’s blog

Like this video version with new synths, etc in this version. Need this in CDQ, Ye.

MYFOXNY.COM – A member of the Mets’ traveling party has been hospitalized in Pittsburgh with a possible case of swine flu, according to a New York Post report.

The person is part of the SNY broadcast crew that travels with the club, the report said. The crew member is apparently in isolation at the hospital.

Meantime Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran is out for the third consecutive game because of a stomach virus. The team believes Beltran is suffering from a gastrointestinal virus and not swine flu.

Pitcher John Maine has also been dealing with a stomach illness.

The Mets say these illnesses are not connected to the TV crew member’s sickness.

Mets exec John Ricco said the sick worker will be kept separated from the team and traveling party until doctors figure out what kind of flu he has.

Distant Relatives is an upcoming studio album by American rapper Nas and reggae artist Damian Marley, scheduled to be released on June 23, 2009.
News of the album first came at the 2009 Grammy Awards, Nas told MTV reporters “Right now, I’ll tell you first, I’m working on an album with Damian Marley, that should drop in June. We tryin’ to build some schools in Africa with this one, and trying to build empowerment,” he said. “We’re tryin’ to show love and stuff with this album. So, the record’s … all about really the ‘hood and Africa also as well.
Marley told Rolling Stone, “We’re trying to have a sound that’s reminiscent of both of us, but not exactly like either,” says Marley, who adds they cut the disc with a live band. Proceeds will go to a project in Africa — possibly building a school in the Congo — and songs like “Count Your Blessings” reflect on the plight of the continent. “A lot of charity albums come off corny,” says Marley. “We want this to be something you’d play in your car.” The album title derives from Nas and Marley’s relationship and their shared African ancestry, which musically and lyrically inspired each record.
Leftover tracks from Hoofy F Baby’ and Marley’s previous albums were originally planned for an EP based on Africa. After working together, the duo decided to record a full album together.
The album’s content will heavily revolve around Africa, from ancestry and poverty. The duo worked to maintain the theme, which will contain samples from African music. The album will offer their social commentary of the United States and Africa.
Mixing hip hop and reggae, Nas and Marley began recording in 2008; recording sessions took place in Los Angeles, California, and Miami, Florida. Marley and his brother, Stephen, produced a majority of the album. Nas plans to work with several producers on the project, including Large Professor, The Alchemist, J. R. Rotem and DJ Khalil. He also plans to feature guests Stevie Wonder and Young Jeezy, among others.

^How can I forget about the boss don, some production from his in house click, him on the hook, i’ll let him come up with the topic (long as it’s wavy) and cha ching, we have a hit. I got this beat from my homie that got donell jones on the hook, but it always reminded me of some max b shit. Co-sign that real collabo talk too, I don’t even like the kid sonic, but “north pole” still gets bump sumthing crazy. If biggavel goes in, i’ma do a put together song with duke (maybe not) but alot of people that don’t have access to the web have no clue about the amount of music max put out, so people will prolly think it’s a real song, lol

^It was some OT ballin’ ass ninjas from FL that was allegedly flaunting their cash, etc. There were also 2 other sets of prostitutes that had nothin’ to do with Max that was also tryin’ to set them up too. I think Max probably did set up the situation, but probably told his team to just flash the toolie, make them lead you to the money, and just get outta there with the cash so that they could break bread later. Somebody decided to go Rambo and started duct taping ninjas up (kidnapping) and shot the other ninja in the face (execution murder) and bodied the other dude (murder 1, right? SMH @ all these niggas talking about “Pray for MaxB” …. really? The nigga allegedly killed somebody. If it was any other nigga on the street, you wouldn’t give a fuck. How ass-backwards are we as a people? Shit.

^Max didn’t kill anybody. The ninjas who ransacked the tellie rooms are the culprits. Max is being charged with conspiracy.

Take what I said back about him killing somebody but it still doesn’t erase my main point that we only “care” about the ones that “matter” … it’s destructive.

^But that’s with any Ciara, you’re making it too objective. If one of your favorite artists got roundhoused off a cliff and died, you know you’d be a little emotional about even though you didn’t know that person. Simply because the attachment through music and media made you feel some type of connection. However, some other random artist you don’t know or never heard of got powerbombed through a stack of tables and died but you wouldn’t even know or care.

    Same theory applies here.

^But the court system is about WHAT THEY CAN PROVE, no WHAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE DONE. If the courts can’t prove based on concrete evidence that someone did the crime then why should that person be punished? The Most High knows and Karma will be dealt accordingly. And yes, this is all being said in the vein of stannery for Wavy Crockett, lol (though it is the truth though).

Lets take the best example: Orenthal James Simpson. Do I believe he killed shorty? No. Do I believe he had somethin’ to do with it? Yes. Due to the greatness of Cochran, could they prove it? No. Therefore, “justice” was served based on the evidence and testimonies was given. However, Karma did catch up with his ass and BOOM! (c) Madden.

If this was a family member or somebody I knew of course I would be speaking from a more emotional and personal stance. But it’s not, so I won’t.

Do you know of any dancehall blogs? I swear I’m so out of touch. When I came back home from up top in ‘03, you couldn’t get a single song past me. Now… I be on WSHH clickin’ on “new” vids thinkin’ them shits just dropped.

^LOL. Man, HELLZ nah. The closest we got is when DJ Trini plays the reggae mix on 95.5 on Friday (or it might be Saturday) nights. And that’s a DC station. Definitely none in B’more.
