MYFOXNY.COM – A member of the Mets’ traveling party has been hospitalized in Pittsburgh with a possible case of swine flu, according to a New York Post report.
The person is part of the SNY broadcast crew that travels with the club, the report said. The crew member is apparently in isolation at the hospital.
Meantime Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran is out for the third consecutive game because of a stomach virus. The team believes Beltran is suffering from a gastrointestinal virus and not swine flu.
Pitcher John Maine has also been dealing with a stomach illness.
The Mets say these illnesses are not connected to the TV crew member’s sickness.
Mets exec John Ricco said the sick worker will be kept separated from the team and traveling party until doctors figure out what kind of flu he has.

Distant Relatives is an upcoming studio album by American rapper Nas and reggae artist Damian Marley, scheduled to be released on June 23, 2009.
News of the album first came at the 2009 Grammy Awards, Nas told MTV reporters “Right now, I’ll tell you first, I’m working on an album with Damian Marley, that should drop in June. We tryin’ to build some schools in Africa with this one, and trying to build empowerment,” he said. “We’re tryin’ to show love and stuff with this album. So, the record’s … all about really the ‘hood and Africa also as well.
Marley told Rolling Stone, “We’re trying to have a sound that’s reminiscent of both of us, but not exactly like either,” says Marley, who adds they cut the disc with a live band. Proceeds will go to a project in Africa — possibly building a school in the Congo — and songs like “Count Your Blessings” reflect on the plight of the continent. “A lot of charity albums come off corny,” says Marley. “We want this to be something you’d play in your car.” The album title derives from Nas and Marley’s relationship and their shared African ancestry, which musically and lyrically inspired each record.
Leftover tracks from Hoofy F Baby’ and Marley’s previous albums were originally planned for an EP based on Africa. After working together, the duo decided to record a full album together.
The album’s content will heavily revolve around Africa, from ancestry and poverty. The duo worked to maintain the theme, which will contain samples from African music. The album will offer their social commentary of the United States and Africa.
Mixing hip hop and reggae, Nas and Marley began recording in 2008; recording sessions took place in Los Angeles, California, and Miami, Florida. Marley and his brother, Stephen, produced a majority of the album. Nas plans to work with several producers on the project, including Large Professor, The Alchemist, J. R. Rotem and DJ Khalil. He also plans to feature guests Stevie Wonder and Young Jeezy, among others.

^But the court system is about WHAT THEY CAN PROVE, no WHAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE DONE. If the courts can’t prove based on concrete evidence that someone did the crime then why should that person be punished? The Most High knows and Karma will be dealt accordingly. And yes, this is all being said in the vein of stannery for Wavy Crockett, lol (though it is the truth though).
Lets take the best example: Orenthal James Simpson. Do I believe he killed shorty? No. Do I believe he had somethin’ to do with it? Yes. Due to the greatness of Cochran, could they prove it? No. Therefore, “justice” was served based on the evidence and testimonies was given. However, Karma did catch up with his ass and BOOM! (c) Madden.
If this was a family member or somebody I knew of course I would be speaking from a more emotional and personal stance. But it’s not, so I won’t.
