The Blueprint is not as good as RD, but it holds a more special place in my heart because I remember the anticipation, excitment & satisfaction of that album.
I had to cop RD like ten years later because I was like ten when it first dropped & did not listen to underground NY hip hop. I was mostly on my West Coast shit at that time.

Blueprint pretty much drew a map for how albums should be made and released..what made it so good was its diversity..”H to the Izzo” “Girls, Girls, Girls” “Takova”…it was full of songs that could be played on the radio, but were still true to the culture…and the lyrics were crisp, full of quotables…Heart of the City & Never Change top 10 Hov songs..

when really think about it blueprint is the post “98″ rd. Its both a heavly introspective albums but instead of spilling his feeling on hustling and evils that came with it he spoke his thoughts on past few summers leading to blueprint. Blueprint is jay at his peak his lyrics was the strongest, his radio friendly songs were the catchiest, he had way more charasima, his stories were iller and his interview was hotter…. holla
Too much west coast dck lickin
and too many N*s on a mission
doin your best Jay Z rendition
too many rough muthafuckas
I got my suspicion
that your just fish in a pool of sharks
N*a listen

^delusional
^^
*daps my grand union gredgrins*
hey homie it’s a matter of opinion – jay, kanye, virtually every dope rapper in the game said that lupe was their favorite artist and F&L was their favorite album at the time – i haven’t seen anyone build a consensus like that before
it’s a matter of opinion and some people might be bored by lupe
but lupe is an argument for being the best lyricist around – if his name at least doesn’t come up in the debate then the dudes who are debating lost at life
Reasonable Doubt one of those cds that make you want to change and shit..dat mafioso feel to it is so contagious…I can bump Dead Presidents or Politics As Usual now and spit the lyrics with the hand movements not even realizing what I’m doing…its better than Blueprint…but I thinkg BP made a bigger impact.

^So it’s okay to say no if you’re 25 + because I’mma give your ass a huge NO-SIGN…RD is in the changer in the whip til this day!
^^
yea i can see why a 25+ old head would say rd is better. those albums drop 2 totally diffrent eras but equally good

Reasonable doubt is one of the few albums that can truly be called a classic. I played that shit in the halls all through my freshman year of high school. I let the tape rock til the tape popped
^word to this nigga I bumped into recently that I went to high school with. He said I used to come to class every day singing Brooklyn’s Finest and that I inspired him to cop RD. All I could do was blush! LOL!
June 3rd, 2009 at 5:10 pm
The Blueprint is probably my Favorite album ever, but I can recognize that RD is better in terms of story telling, lyrics, & concepts.

CA all day.

shit, i fucks w/ hov (ll). i think AG was trash but i got every cd he put out, the day of since RD & afew of those $4.00 maxi singles. bastard.

Blueprint is jay at his peak his lyrics was the strongest, his radio friendly songs were the catchiest, he had way more charasima, his stories were iller and his interview was hotter…. holla
June 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 pm
I hope Jay reads this post & realizes that he needs to make BP3 a classic & not some more of that mediocre AG & KC shit.
they were ah ight, but Jay is the greatest & that aint good enough.

hey homie it’s a matter of opinion – jay, kanye, virtually every dope rapper in the game said that lupe was their favorite artist and F&L was their favorite album at the time – i haven’t seen anyone build a consensus like that before
it’s a matter of opinion and some people might be bored by lupe
but lupe is an argument for being the best lyricist around – if his name at least doesn’t come up in the debate then the dudes who are debating lost at life
June 3rd, 2009 at 5:18 pm
Reasonable Doubt one of those cds that make you want to change and shit..dat mafioso feel to it is so contagious…I can bump Dead Presidents or Politics As Usual now and spit the lyrics with the hand movements not even realizing what I’m doing…its better than Blueprint…but I thinkg BP made a bigger impact.
