I got a chance to catch up with Chicago spitter Mikkey Halsted to get a quick update on what’s new with him and get his opinion on a couple of hot-button topics. He is putting the finishing touches on his EP The Last Shall Be First, working with super-producer NO I.D. in between his Kanye/Jay-Z projects. Recently Mikkey put together an event where he performed alongside other Chi-Town elite MC’s Naledge and Mic Terror. It was crazy in there and we had to do the interview in the place many of us find peace – in the bathroom! He performed his Don Cannon produced single “Hello” for the first time that night and we talked right before he began his set
