Video: Drake Interview w/ Semtex Pt. 1
He’s officially the hottest artist for 2010. Drake was supposed to pass through my show last Friday, but he canceled at the last minute due to a studio session that was running late with… Rihanna. I hooked up with him the following day.
Instead of doing the usual studio interview, we hit Hyde Park, which is London’s equivalent of Central Park.

No disrespect but I know for a fact that I’m not the only one who was disappointed. Maybe it was just a fluke. Doesn’t change anything, I’m still a fan and I’ll be checking out the next one while I’m in town. I hope he brings that energy from the past shows to the next show at… um, lemme shut up.

Yeah, dudes definitely the most sought after/anticipated cat at the moment. He’s definitely “playing” the game well right now to prep him to be that “next dude”. The Rihanna talk also played to his advantage too.

His interviews are definitely improving. It’s a good look when your able to express yourself with a larger vocabulary unlike some rappers I’ve heard. The internet changed the landscape of the music industry before he came along, I believe Soulja boy started his first single on the net before it was re-engineered and reintroduced to a mainstream audience. His lyrics are intelligent, witty and his use of metaphors are straight dope. To the haters to each his own.
