I’ve been preaching this to the nah choir for the past 2 or 3 years, and they don’t wanna see the light…..I’ve came up with mad arguments and theories but people believe what they want to believe.

I’ve centered the argument to a suitable form in lyrical language that they would understand, but the people here just don’t get it.

Lyrics is not a trump card…Nahright followers only think there is one way of rapping…hence why pharaohe monch is a statue or memorial for what they believe in.

Kanye is a good example of lyrics not being the end all be all. when he dropped College Dropout, I didn’t respect him at all, and I refused to listen to the album. but then I did and I was blown away. because Ye is far from the best lyricist (although he’s gotten way better since), but he understands what it takes to make amazing music. what he lacked in lyricism, he made up for with dope beats and choruses and concepts.

^It never has been all about lyrics, rakim will blow rev run out the water lyrically, but when it’s all said & done, Run DMC will be ranked higher because of the people they touched thru there music, and that’s what rap is all about, reaching the listener, we can rap about the same thing, you say it in a lyrical way I say it in a way that everyone can understand it & guess who’s the better rapper?

Do people realize that most of the worlds music is centered around some sort of dance culture?

When did it become not cool to dance? Only in hip-hop has this school of thought been exported through the minds of the pseudo-intellect. They stopped dancing because it was seen as a ritual for the white man, when in actually thats what we do…

ALL African music is dance music
Latin american music is dance music
Arabs hop and skip to bollywood beats..

Only the people who “escaped” from the shackles of the south, determined it was not cool to dance with accompanied music and instrumentals….

South ALWAYS had a history of chants and dance culture…while the northerners displayed a form of decorum and civility with “intellectuality in their music…

There is no coincidence why there are different types of music….Read history and understand it and you’ll be enlightened

I am totally blown away by this EPK… I was looking for an example of a great EPK to show one of my artists (not hip-hop but that’s beside the point… good is good)
I was so happy to watch this it almost made me cry!
