    To be honest, the reason I started frequenting NahRight was because of the hilarity running rampant in the comments section. You can go to WSHH or other sites and catch similar content, but who really wants to read a bunch of posts where cats are thirsty to let the world know they posted the first comment.

    … truth and no offense taken but people like cold,land,billz,pockets,fux,chea and a bunch of others who don’t come around anymore or rarely like greenie,rey, even beastnigga,luis,two-times, madden master all those people made the comment section pop off and eskay and nate played a huge role in that too, so i’m not taking anything away from them but without the comment section being what it is theres not much of a difference between this and all the other sites …

    all I know is, whenever Nah is acknowledged as the top rap blog or most important, or whatever, I never see any mention of the comments as a factor in that decision. like I said, I respect the comments, and believe it’s an integral part of the site, one of the most important parts in my opinion, but if the vast majority of people who come here don’t read the comments, how can you sit there and say ya’ll made me? if ya’ll made me, then make another me.

    learn your history. SOHH hired me to blog for them on the strength of Nah Right, then I quit and went to work for XXL, again, on the strength of Nah Right. SOHH went from Top 2 to not mentioned at all. no shots at them, because they did help me spread my name early on.

    … first off, I said you and nate were just as big a part as anyone in making the comment sections pop off, no one of us are responsible for your success, but the combination of all of us play a big part in why your rated so highly, if there were no commentors then why do we always talk about o so and so must be reading the comment section after an interview or song, theres no way for the avg. rapper to know how many visits you get with or without comment but they can see how many comments you get and see that they, for the most part, aren’t trolls/drones and thats why they fuck with this, if it went back to zero comments per post you think people would be reaching out to nah ?

    right now? yeah, I do. ya’ll niggas be slacking sometimes and there be like 5 comments on a post, but my traffic stays the same. we’re way beyond needing 100 comments on a post to generate buzz.

    that said, I got love for the comments, I’ve wasted mad time in here myself, met mad people, had great arguments, learned some shit, schooled niggas in shit, etc.

    and when outside people talk shit about the comments out in the real world, I hold ya’ll down. people try to say that all we talk about is nonsense, but I shut that shit down real quick whenever I have a chance.

    so yeah, I do think ya’ll played a roll in helping the site become what it has become, but I just think ya’ll be feeling yourselves a little too tough sometimes. talking about the site would be over if ya’ll stopped commenting? I highly doubt that. not at this stage of the game.
