I remember Stop Being Greedy(dmx) getting regular airplay, video , radio clubs etc. That shit is way too gritty. I blame 9/11 backlash for the killing of HardCORE MAINSTREAM which used to exist and now it doesnt.

like i said the other day … homos is running/ruining this rap/r&b shit … word to Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell, Stephen Hill, Chris Stokes, Puffy etc… the list is mad long … and goes back many years …

HardCORE MAINSTREAM
^^the new crop of youth are too soft and pansy to appreciate this anyways.
Hence the onslaught of “emo rap”

well that hasnt really become that popular yet..but u can tell people want soemthin besides the same old hardcore that def jam manufactured and made synonomous w “hip hop”… so anythin diff people gravitate towards.. so u see people interested in the emo rap .. but none of these emo guys are that good yet… or the memory of hardcore rap hasnt fully been relinquished by that traditional hip hop fans to fully accept this new sound “emo rap” as substantial music..

^Ehh… I think the track with Bun B stands out. the rest though are good songs, lyrically. Its hard for red and meth to make a lyrically wack song, but I think the album is solid. Same for Busta’s album. Whenever he drops the shit with Common, Mary and that other guy, that shit is gonna blow

who was the lady interjecting with that random question in this dead prez clip? is that green’s normal co-host?
i think they should write their questions down. this sounded wild disjointed.
lol @ the dude trying to sum up all of dead prez’s criticisms into a final positive a+ grade. lol.
