Exile recently sat down with the good folks at Yours Truly in the Mission District of lovely San Francisco, and broke down making beats from the car Radio, as well as recreating a joint called “In Love” from his recently released album, “Radio.”
Here’s a little insight on this project from Dom’s biography:
With the co-sign of the streetwear giant, The Hundreds, Dom Kennedy’s “FutureStreet/DrugSounds” is set to make an impact sonically throughout the music realm. With production from Chuck Inglish (of the Cool Kids), J Skillz, L.A.U.S.D, Brandun DeShay, Drew Byrd, etc., “FutureStreet/DrugSounds” is an album that is definitely worth listening to. You can expect a wide-range of diverse subject matters on the songs displayed on FS/DS. At such an early point in Dom Kennedy’s career, “FutureStreet/DrugSounds” is an excellent introduction to most and a perfect reminder to others that Dom Kennedy is a name to definitely be remembered and recognized.

Here’s a never before seen pic of Ye & Dame with the pride of my city:
OK this picture is kind of a bigger deal than the content of this post. Of course it’s Damon Dash, me and Kanye, but this is the first time I met Kanye, right when he asked me to come on tour with him. Dame was actually trying to get me to DJ for Samantha Ronson but Kanye snatched me. This picture has never appeared online. Straight out the shoebox. (May, 2004)
It’s funny how things turn out. He goes on to say how much he respects Dame (as you should) and he plugs Combat Jack’s piece on the man.
Second, you stole Kanye A-Trak from Dame!! (c) Cam

” ‘Supernova,’ it’s a co-write,” Hudson explained, sitting in the Beverly Hills Hotel a few days ago. “I think our head space, we kinda overlapped with similar emotions about things when we were hanging out last summer. I think we both could relate to the lyrics, so we built it together. Kanye brought in the chorus. We brought the verses up together.”
Kanye and Hudson were shooting the video for their song, which is the first single from the singer’s U.S. debut.
