I’m pleased to present the first episode of NahMean, a new “man on the street” opinion series presented by Nah Right and John Public. Tired of listening to millionaire rappers and clueless execs flap their gums about the state of the game? Yeah, us too.
Says John:
NahRight and John Public have teamed up to produce an original video series that gives the average hip-hop fan, artist and/or consumer the platform to talk back about their culture. We’re turning the camera away from the household names and onto the people on the corner who have their own valid opinions and thoughts on hip-hop music, the industry and what’s going on in the street.
Topics include Asher Roth*, KiD CuDi, Ludacris and T.I.
*I’m glad he released that statement today, or we would’ve had to trash this episode. Ha.

This seems like a really good look. Honestly it would have been corny if this was done by Vibe, BET or XXLmag. I’m really glad that the focus is on the fans and your not interrupted by some host trying their best to not look awkward.
This has a really cool -Ralph McDaniels- feel.
