    Difference between those two and Em is that Em signed to a mainstream rap label and people proclaimed him the great white hope. Atmosphere (Slug) does the angsty tortured artist thing better, Eminem simply had better promo.

    He wasn’t hired as a coach, he was hired as a GM & the Knicks were broken when he was brought in. He was trying to patch holes in a tire that was already blown out. Cats is quick to buy into the bad press & the hype & while Thomas had his flaws, he had his strengths too.

    Even though comparisons are objective I’ve to disagree. While I think Em is really dope, I think that Slug has a much stronger body of work, does a better job of putting is men on (n/h) and has more consistency

    Strictly Leakage >>> whatever the name of that last weed plate Em released

    i wouldnt type it if i didnt believe it … Aesop Rock and Slug are way more consistent than Mathers, have more diverse content, and have deeper catalogs … whether or not you hear them much, is another story … Eminem makes one good hiphop LP and people lose their minds … SMH …

    I don’t think Em is the greatest ever. I have never even heard of Slug honestly (so if you wanna give me some music feel free) I just think Aesop is wack. he’s like Asher Roth to me.

    I enjoy 3 of Eminem’s LPs, d12 had a couple of dope songs & I liked some of Proof’s music too.

    I can easily name 30< doper MCs, but Aesop is not one of them. LOL

    Atmosphere helped create a sustainable monument to hip hop in Rhymesayers. Slug has and does constantly use it as a forum to sharpen his dagger (n/h). He puts out material that doesn’t have to go through a mainstream label’s filter and so he sounds mor sincere and at least looks like he has a better work ethic.

    Lyric for lyric I believe him more, because Em is routinely on milk carton status or TRL duty he’s become a cartoon of what he wants to say (we made you, without me)
