There are pros and there are bros and there certain individuals who are both. Bun B wasn’t even scheduled to perform at The Levi’s®/FADER Fort on Saturday—he was just hanging out in the VIP doing interviews and enjoying his birthday. But when Rick Ross was a no show, Bun came through and delivered a performance of solo and UGK classics that got the crowd going like few other artists did the whole week. We, in gratitude, delivered a big yellow birthday cake. Happy Birthday, Bun! Thanks for everything. Watch Bun receive birthday wishes from his fans and perform UGK’s “Let Me See It” live from The Fort.
FADER makes up for their live stream technical difficulties (completely missed Bun’s show) by releasing this high quality clip of the first part of his set.
When SXSW first made its way onto my radar a couple of years ago, I remember there being very little Hip-Hop representation. Even if you’ve never gone youself, you can probably guess from the sheer volume of Youtubery that made it’s way onto blogs last year and this year, that is hardly the case anymore. And that makes sense because, like the indie rock that dominates the annual industry schmooze-a-thon in Austin, Hip-Hop thrives on the DIY spirit and the art of the live performance.
Off his I Rap Now EP.

As I told you all previously, The Runners produced the new America’s Most Wanted theme song. We got a lot of behind the scenes footage so i compiled it together into this video to let you all see what went in to creating a theme song that not only had The Runner’s signature sound, but also stayed true to the original AMW sound.
You can see the result after the jump.
Notice the drops of the The Runners sound (‘breath of fresh air’ – that’s the official description of the sound) in the beginning and end.
Shouts to my girl / The Runners’s assistant Jessie Maguire for the clip. She got a little cameo in it.
Shouts to TJsDJs.
This from FADER’s official YouTube so the quality is better than the live stream that had everybody moving as slow as robots.
Plus the audio is direct, much clearer than the flipcam mic audio everybody else got.
