This shit bangs! I’m sorry, I had no other way to start off this post. If you’re feeling this, and appreciate dope music, I advise you head to iTunes and purchase the latest EP (maxi single) from the Cali-trio. Support good music! You also get a better quality version of each of the songs and trust me when I say, you’ll notice the difference in those than the ones that leaked. Boom!

Video: Gucci Mane Interview w/ DJ Drama

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Spotted at RR, apparently he needs to check his interview skills:

True story: I’ve been breakin’ Joey IE from Asylum’s balls (no homo) for some exclusive content. So when Gucci came up to Asylum he got him on the phone with B Dot but the convo was so terribly boring, we decided not to run it. This ATLien needs some media training. Mike Jones got more personality than this guy. He must be a killa.

Video: This Is Jim Jones Preview (Chapter 1)

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

From DrJays.com Boss Lady’s writeup of all the chapters:

Chapter 1 sheds light on Jim’s journey from boy to man. It includes childhood pics, memories from his mother Nancy (addicted to crack cocaine when Jim was young), tales of growing up with Dame Dash in East Harlem, his estranged father’s untimely death from HIV/AIDS, his legendary temper, and becoming affiliated with the Bloods as a teen.

As Dame earnestly tells us he “didn’t expect Jimmy to be the guy I passed the torch to”, we see Jim beginning to build serious relationships within the music industry. We’re then given a glimpse into his business acumen with mention of his ventures at KOCH, Asylum Records and Sony BMG; a closer look however at how he actually worked on and sealed these deals would have been appreciated.

Pray IV Reign in stores today.

Look into his eyes in that photo with Oliver Stone & Mickey Rourke and try to tell me he isn’t dying to see ‘Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’ in the credits of a big movie.

via MTV News:

While online reports said that 50 had been dropped from the film, the statement says he had to pass on the project due to time constraints.

“50 Cent was offered the role of Hale Caesar in ‘The Expendables,’ however as he is currently in the process of completing his forthcoming album Before I Self Destruct with Dr. Dre and Eminem,” a rep for the MC told MTV News in a statement. “He was unfortunately not able to commit to the project.”

Stallone reportedly told Ain’t It Cool News that former San Diego Charger Terry Crews, who debuted with Arnold Schwarzeneggar in “The 6th Day” and appears in this summer’s “Terminator Salvation,” will take on the role vacated by 50.
