Video: Ludacris Talks To MTV About Battle Of The Sexes Joint Album With Shawnna

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

via MTV News:

The album is slated for a summer release, but the duo have already released a song from the project called “Drunk as Fuck.”

“Shawnna, she does her thing,” Luda said. “Not that many people that can rap fast and rap slow. The twist of the tongue, we got all that good stuff all over the album. … It’s about making sure we fill in all the gaps and get some of that variety. This Battle of the Sexes album is to inject hip-hop with something that’s not going on.

“It never has happened before,” he continued. “A lot of people have been talking about doing an album with a male and female perspective, but it never has happened. I’m just trying to inject the industry with stuff that’s not going on right now. I think we’re gonna win with it — I know we’re gonna win. The album is 80 percent done. We been working on it since last year, so that’s why I’m saying we coming right back.”

The pair created over 30 songs, and Luda smiled when asked if Shawnna — acknowledged as one of the deadliest female MCs in the game — tries to kill him with her bars on each track.

You can safely skip the first two minutes… the Cam reachout starts at 2:05.

I’ve been selfish in a lot of ways in this past year…but its not all about me, there’s alot of other people involved….for the most part, me and Flea came up together for a long time…so I’m just extending my hand to the contribution of getting this Diplomat business done. So if Cam is listening, maybe we can sit down and get some business together and…give the people what they want.”

WHAT’S UP PEOPLE? I MISS YOU ALL.

I MISS THE LOVE AND THE HATE, BUT NO WORRIES I’M ALMOST HOME. LET ME START OFF BY SAYING, GOD DAMN! IT SEEMS LIKE 40 GLOCC PUT A 40 GLOCC VIRUS IN MY WEBSITE. THAT NIGGA IS ALL OVER THE PLACE. THAT’S MY COMRAD AND I ASKED HIM TO KEEP HNIC2.COM INTERESTING WHILE I’M AWAY, BUT GOD DAMN! BUT, IT’S ALL-GOOD. I LOVE MY NIGGA FOR REAL. 40 IS A LOT LIKE ME CAUSE WE ARE TWO VERY OUTSPOKEN INDIVIDUALS. WE SPEAK OUR MINDS AND RARELY EVER HOLD BACK. THAT SCARES A LOT OF PEOPLE CAUSE PEOPLE ARE SCARED OF CONFRONTATION. THEY’RE SCARED THAT THEY WILL OFFEND SOMEBODY AND THEN HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. IT’S STRANGE TO ME. SINCE WHEN DID THIS HIP-HOP THING OF OURS BECOME FILLED WITH SO MUCH FEAR? HIP-HOP, JUST LIKE ROCK’N’ ROLL, WAS CREATED IN THE POVERTY STRICKEN BLACK COMMUNITIES AS A WAY TO EXPRESS OURSELVES THREW MUSIC. A WAY TO REBEL AGAINST THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO KEEP US DOWN AND OUT.

HIP-HOP AND ROCK’N’ROLL IS REBEL MUSIC. NO MATTER WHERE IT IS NOW OR THE CHANGES IT’S GONE THREW, IT WILL ALWAYS BE REBEL MUSIC CREATED BY PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN THREW HELL, SO THEY HAD NOTHING ELL’S TO FEAR. Continue reading this post…

Suge Sends Goonies to Akon Employee’s Home?

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

So, remember how Sugar Bear got his ass handed to him (again) by Akon’s manager out in Phoenix during All-Star Weekend? Well, according to TMZ, the demise of Suge’s G may have been greatly exaggerated. According to the website, 5 armed men ran up in another Akon employee’s Van Nuys home last night and made off with approximately 300K in goods.

Says TMZ:

Christoper Walker tells us at about 3:00 AM five men broke into his home with guns and said they were there to collect a debt on behalf of Suge Knight. They claimed Detail owed Suge money, and then proceeded to collect on the debt.

Walker says Detail was asleep in one of the bedrooms. The men entered the bedroom but did not get Detail out of bed. Instead, they stole $170,000 worth of jewelry from his room.

Walker adds they demanded a key to the safe and said they would kill all four people in the house if they didn’t get it. The robbers didn’t get the key — instead, they took the 130 pound safe.

Walker says they also took stereo equipment and a key to a Mercedes. He claims the total heist was more than $200,000. A police source tells us it’s more like $300,000.

Walker claims that the same debt was at the root of the altercation in Phoenix back in February. Of course this could all be bullshit, Walker could be trying to cover up the real reason he got robbed and figures that implicating Suge may throw everybody off. It seems strange to me that dude would be spilling his guts to TMZ just a couple of hours after all of this happened. Suge had better hope that’s the case anyway, otherwise he may be looking at another extended vacation in Folsom.

Video: BooBooTV – Officer Ricky: Triple C’s (Carol City Confessions)

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Curtis recaps all the Rick Ross C.O. interviews, from the very first denial (“those pictures are fraudulent”) to the latest on Big Boy (“Yeah that picture was Rick Ross”).

You should slap, kick, or worse to the “genius” who gave you this “good idea” Rick…

Damn shame cuz the album is a banger.
