When all is said is done, Slim Shady LP is his best album, with the Eminem show close behind. All those boy band/pop music references on MM just sound corny and dated now. And as much props as it got at the time, alot of the production is kind of dreary and dull in retrospect.

Why dont big time artists battle each other? Like they’ll do songs talking about each other but they wont battle? I understand security issues but think about it! Get 2 big name rappers in the same room, no cliques or friends just security, un biased judges and a camera man. Throw sum nah right logos in the back ground and bam! Eskay u get like hella hits on the web for that shit…. ( hides idea from world star and all hip hop ) and if the artists wanna be charged throw sum pay per view on that ish….

When all is said is done, Slim Shady LP is his best album, with the Eminem show close behind. All those boy band/pop music references on MM just sound corny and dated now. And as much props as it got at the time, alot of the production is kind of dreary and dull in retrospect.

The difference between an album like RD and the marshall mathers lp is that the datedness isnt distracting/irritating. Alot of the references and concepts on MM sound dated in the sense they dont sound nearly as dope as they did when they dropped for whatever reason.
RD, while clearly made in ’96, is none the worse for wear.

Good point…RD and MMLP are 2 of my favorite albums of all time…but someone on Nah said this before, favorite and best are two different things, Eminem Show maybe your favorite but it doesnt mean it was his best work, SSLP and MMLP are his best pieces of work, and at the time his image was to parody pop music and all those boy bands, i can understand what youre saying about it being irritating..Em has always done tht ex: wack ass singles he puts out

I think the Mary joint and the current single are weak. The Avery Storm joint is weak, as is Rocking with the Best. No real creative leaps forward in any direction. I’m not saying its wack, but from one listen, there’s definetly some things wrong with it.
