   This new Lupe had better be better than The Cool. Think F&L Lupe and double it, that’s what I’m expecting. The Cool was good but not an advance on F&L.

   Sizzle. I liked The Cool, but I don’t think it was as great as some, because it’s kinda inaccessable for alot of listeners. No one wants to hve to read the cliff notes to understand an album.

   And he relies too heavily on his in-house production team. Their beats are functional, but this is his third album, I’d wanna see him work with a more varied collection of producers.

    I had a lucid dream the other day and it had me wanting to slap myself in the morning. I was being attacked by a mad angry kitten intent on clawing the shit out of my lower extremities. It was scary as shit. I had to admit I was questioning myself the next morning on some, ‘what kind of a man are you that you got scared by a kitten’ shit. All dreams of being a gangster fell to the way side after that.

    It’s funny that you asked me to explain because just like you said it’s way too complex for me to explain right now so my answer would not be satisfying. [ll]

    But I will say for me the whole story/scheme around “The Cool” was perfect. [or as close as you can get]. The Micheal Young History/The Game/The Streets concept was one of the best I’ve heard in a long time and might be my personal favorite.

    I liked the way it connected with “Food and Liquor”. Lyrics were excellent [Lupe, Nuff said]

    And his in-house production is great. Soundtrak is a beast. I remember the first time I heard “Just Might Be O.K.”. The yellow sticker on that CD said it best. “Breath of fresh air”
