    that sounds terrible. And the only thing he learned to do was strum the strings and hold them down with the other hand… he doesnt actually play any chords … just held the bottom three strings down… you could do the same

    In fact, the Carter 3 is actually Wayne’s second worst LP, right above 500 Degreez, which was a pretty shitty piece of work.

    XXL lost when they reverted the “M” they gave 500 Degreez (which was deserved) to a “L” years later. It’s a shame that hiphop mags (XXL particulary) are essentially glorified PR, no investigative reporting, or even halfway creative writing. Every article thats not an interview reads like a label created press release. SMH.

    ive been playing a few years, its not easy to just pick up a guitar and start playing so props to weezy

    As a guitar player for 25 years I can tell you categorically that tjis man has just dummy tuned the last 3 strings… so he is playing it more like Guitar Hero than actually paying chords or notes.

    If it makes the new generation them power to him, but I have 7 year old students that would rip of his head and shit down his throat for even claiming he’s PLAYING

    thing is, it IS easy to pick up if you have any sort of musical ability… he’s a musician for christ’s sake, i should hope he has rhythm…

    if that’s any more than 6 months practice, it’s pretty bad….
