Audio: Just Blaze Plays Snippets of Mos Def & Jay Electronica on Toca Tuesdays
via YN // RapRadar.com:
Here’s another treat from the Shade45 airwaves: Last Tuesday, Just Blaze played some brief but spectacular snippets from the above marathon Baseline studio session. Jay Electronica also shot some video from that night that I’ve been trying to get my hands on since our launch. In the meantime, this better hold ya over.
No Clifford here. But my other rap buddy named Jay sounds great and when was the last time you heard Mos flow this well. I guarantee whatever Just got is 10 x doper than any bullshit Pretty Flaco album on the way. Some artists need guidance!
That’s Kweli talkin’ to Just on #2. Reflection Eternal were also on the Tony Touch show that night.

I don’t know who the fuck crowned the founder of rapradar.com as the king of Hip Hop journalistic credibility because everytime I hear his opinions I think their idiotic. Just Blaze production better than any Pretty Flaco album? Black On Both Sides > his favorite album of all time. Yes Just Blaze has made some classic joints with Jay but he has also made a bunch of wack beats as well. Not to mention, Jay’s status and lyricism had allot to do with the reception of the production as well. All of those joints weren’t that crazy. Thats not a shot. Just Blaze is very talented, but please. Has this man ever even heard the BlackStar album? Who is this guy really? Its like every hip hop blogger or online journalist criticizes underground rappers for not having big name producers attached to their projects. And their reviews come off so general unspecific it gives the impression that they did little more than skim it for beats. Its disgraceful and a monkey could do it. Why do we need these “online Hip Hop journalists”? For the mostpart they could eat a dick. Eskay and Nation are cool though.
