True, but that’s true with anything that goes from private to public. If no one had learned about Breezy and Rihanna slap-boxing, no one would’ve cared, for instance.
And there’s some good to come from understanding cultural differences based on racial differences, especially here. One of the reasons Jeremiah Wright was a problem for Obama is that the majority of white Christians are never exposed to that sort of fiery preaching in general, much less the incendiary 9/11 mess he was talking.
Racism is most toxic when mixed with xenophobia, and that’s the disease that’s plagued the white “Americans” since they landed at Plymouth. They (or some of them) got here under the auspices of having some sort of free society for Christian worship, then decided they just wanted their own place to be the same sort of restrictive (with a different denomination) the Anglican Church was.

We can make all the assumptions we want based on characteristics, but again we wont know their true character untill acted upon. If not tested a person can potray to be whomever they want, but once confronted by making a decision such as the one above is only when we really find their true person.

We can make all the assumptions we want based on characteristics, but again we wont know their true character untill acted upon. If not tested a person can potray to be whomever they want, but once confronted by making a decision such as the one above is only when we really find their true person.

I hate racism in all aspects, but what bothers me the most is the blacks who are racist against other blacks. White folks can grow up and never actually see, know, etc. a black person, so I can somewhat understand their ignorance, but I don’t feel the same when it’s blacks though.

I tried to believe otherwise for a while, but I met a cop at a leadership thing (good guy, started a frat that actually seems respectable at a school in Virginia) who would drop his voice and tell me that it was black people who were the problem because of what they did, etc.
It isn’t profitable for lots of people to see the subtleties of race and stuff. So they don’t.

^The difference between Martin Lawrence and Tyler Perry is that Martin has been a known rebel to the “system”. I’m not excusing his antics or any of the roles he has played on his show, but his contribution to “awareness” and brand of comedy was deemed “raunchy, racist, and unacceptable” before “Shenehneh” ever existed. He constantly brought forth topics in his comedy that openly discussed race and the mistreatment of Blacks, but most of it got foreshadowed in his physical comedy and choice of characters.
Tyler Perry is a homosexual living vicariously through the roles that he play and his general audience is the Black Christian community who support his “art”. He was well-known via plays before his 1st movie which is why he can rank in those big dollars in the movie theaters.
Tyler created Madea and intends to carry out his “fantasy” for as long as he can continue to get the financial support.

I NEVER watched Sienfeld, never found it funny, this “show about nothing”. BUT I remember when the shit hit the fan with Kramer and make no mistake that was some prejudiced bullshit. Folks are quick to scream racism but in fact a racist is a person who feels a way about someone of different ethnic make up AND is in a position to negatively affect that person’s life. MANY of us are prejudiced but VERY few of us are racist. See Dog the Bounty Hunter can be a racist but ,unless YOU work for Kramer, he couldn’t: he’s just another ignorant dickhead. As far as Martin was concerned, there’s no stereotype he could exploit about whites that could ever equal the years of flotsam that Hollywood and TV has pushed on Aeikkka from “Good Times” to “That’s My Momma” to “What’s Happenin’” to “Diff’rent Strokes” to…You get the idea. How can one compare Madea to Boyz N The Hood or New Jack City? BNTH and NJC didn’t have “happy” endings. Both movies depicted reality in both ghettos of L.A. and NYC, respectively. Exaggeration is implemented in any movie because it sells tickets. But gang life, crack houses/buildings, junkies, poverty, innocent victims of circumstances are REAL. There were plenty of messages (subliminally) in both movies. Many missed ‘em or didn’t overstand ‘em so they focused on the violence and action.
Where’s the reality of a homosexual in a dress being a savior to the Black community?
