Agreed on the general point, but in the case of the show I don’t see it.

True origins? It’s not like the show was created in the depths of some White Power orientation meeting with the purpose of creating a racist show that black people would enjoy. It was a white show, and one of the cast members turned out to be a racist. I assume most white people are racist anyway, so his outburst in no way affected my perception, because I never lied to myself about the difference between a person and their onscreen persona.

No black extras/supporting characters? You’re starting to sound like that dude in Do The Right Thing that was pissed because there werent pictures of black people in the Italian owned pizza shop.

Fair enough. But the only thing we KNOW is that the guy that played Kramer was a racist. That doesnt retroactively mean that the jokes on the show were coming from racist place, which is the only thing that really matters in terms of whats immoral and whats not.
